I was delighted when Lovehoney sent me some RodeoH strap-on underwear to review. When the harness arrived I was eager to try it on, but unfortunately I had been sent the incorrect size; L instead of the XS. I was still curious to see how well the Large would fit me, as essentially the band on the large is a similar size to my hip sizing, and as these are designed to be low-rise underwear I thought I might be able to get away with this size. Regrettably they were still far too big for me, meaning that they sat too high up on my body, making the O-ring positioned just under my belly button, rather than in the centre of my pubic mound. After emailing Lovehoney, they very quickly arranged for the correct size to be sent to me for my review.

RodeoHs arrive in a soft fabric drawstring bag; this is perfect for discreetly storing the underwear while not in use. There is a label attached to the bag, with a small amount of information regarding the product. For some reason the label states ‘Do Not Eat’. I’m guessing that this is meant to be humorous, as seriously, who would try and eat a strap-on harness? Inside the bag you will also find a metal dog tag with the brand name engraved into it. Personally I doubt I’ll actually be using the dog tag, as the metal seems to scratch easily, although I do know some people who rather like the fact it comes with the dog tag, and proudly wear it.

The underwear comes in a range of sizes, starting from a XS UK 8-10 with a waist band of 25-26 inches, up to a XL UK 20-22 with a 36-38 inch waist band. I think Lovehoney have done an excellent job in working out the UK sizes for this product; when holding the XS against UK size 8-10 briefs the proportions are almost identical. They are made from a soft material which is 95% Cotton and 5% Elastane – the fabric is surprisingly soft, has great elasticity, and isn’t too thin, meaning that they are likely to last a while. The waist band is very thick compared to those you would find on most female underwear, being 1½ inches wide. The elastic in the waistband is pretty strong, and can be stretched a good few inches without warping the band’s shape. On the waist band you will also find the brandname printed, which gives the product the look of designer underwear. RodeoHs are design to appear similar to male Y-fronts, using blocky red and black colours outlined by a light grey fabric. I really like the masculine aesthetics of the RodeoH strap-on; it somehow makes the strap-on appear more user friendly when compared with the standard buckle style harnesses. You can easily use the RodeoH for packing during gender play or as a harness during pegging. At the centre of the Y-fronts you will find a strong 1½ diameter O-ring sewn into the fabric; the stitching feels pretty secure. The O-ring is flexible, but isn’t overly stretchy. Behind the O-ring there is a slit for threading your strap-on compatible toy, or packing cock, through.

Wearing the RodeoH is extremely comfortable; I’m able to wear these under most clothing and still perform daily tasks, and even exercise. This means that I can use the RodeoH either for packing when desired, offering a packing cock plenty of support and making it sure it stays in place, or placed under my clothing so I’m ready to go if I and my partner wish to use it spontaneously for pegging. I have noticed that the underwear doesn’t work under some fabrics as the O-ring can occasionally show through, but these are often very thin fabrics such as silk. I was a little worried that the RodeoH’s strong elastic would mean that the harness cut into my skin, but I’m pleased to say that I haven’t experienced this.

When placing a dildo into the harness, you are able to thread it through the slit at the front into the O-ring. This can sometimes be a bit tricky, depending on the size and flexibility of the toy. After trying out various sized dildos in the harness, I found that ones with 5 inches of circumference and below generally worked well. If you are a fan of larger toys, sadly the RodeoH O-ring is just too small to accommodate them. Depending on the weight of the toy you may experience some droopage, but I’ve found the elastic keeps the toy in position better than some other forms of strap-ons.

When choosing a lubricant to use with your RodeoH, I recommend one which is water based and doesn’t stain fabrics.

When using the strap-on with my partner I found that it gave excellent control during insertion. While thrusting, I found that sometimes the harness would pull away from my body, meaning that the base of the dildo used would sometimes cause discomfort to my pubic mound. I feel that this is partly due to the weight of the toy we were using, alongside the motions used while thrusting, as it doesn’t seem to happen all the time. The majority of the time I had excellent control. During use, I enjoyed how I was able to feel my partner’s body when it brushed against the fabric of the RodeoH. This made me more confident when using the harness, and was sexually arousing. The aesthetics of the harness also made my partner feel more confident and aroused. I feel that as the RodeoHs were comfortable to wear, and this made me more comfortable and confident, this helped my partner relax more during use, as he could tell I was relaxed. When removing a dildo from the RodeoH I found that it was easier to take them off completely, as it felt a little uncomfortable trying to thread the toy out of the pocket. Unlike other harnesses, this is very simple, as you don’t have to worry able fiddly straps.

The RodeoH’s fabric dye does have a slight synthetic scent to it, but it does fade after washing. I recommend handwashing the RodeoHs, as the dye does seem to fade, albeit slowly. This will also help maintain the elasticity of the harness.

Overall I really like the RodeoH harness. It isn’t intimidating in appearance, and it’s extremely comfortable and easy to use. I look forward to seeing more products from this company in the future.

Katie Low Nitelife Heels

I recently received Black Patent Small Platform Sandal’s by nitelife, in a size 7 from Adult Garden to review. These shoes are in the classic stripper style with a clear stiletto 5” heel. I own a few pairs of shoes which are mostly dedicated bedroom attire, as sometimes all you need to complete your provocative get-up is a good pair of sturdy sexy shoes.

The shoes arrive in a standard cardboard shoe box, with the style, brand, and size printed onto it. Inside, the shoes are wrapped in tissue paper with the brands logo printed onto it. Before you try the shoes on, you’ll have to remove various bits of packaging which are helping keep the shoes in shape. I tend to keep this packaging and re-use after each wear, in the hope it’ll prolong the life of the shoes.

The uppers and straps are made from patent PVC. The innersole is lined with faux leather. At the front of one of my shoes there was a small amount of damage to the faux leather, but this isn’t noticeable from a distance. Around where the heel would rest, there is a small raised piece of padding with the brand label stitched on top of it. The shoes have a 1 inch platform and 5 inch heel made from clear plastic. Around where the sole and the heel join the shoe you are able to see a small amount of glue, but from a distance you aren’t able to notice this. The sole at the front of the shoes is made from ribbed textured rubber; the soles provide a steady amount of friction, making them easy to walk in. The tip of the stiletto is made from a smooth hard plastic – If you plan to wear these shoes out I recommend you get these replaced; the plastic seems like it’ll wear away easily.

The sandals are open toed style, allowing approximately 3.5 inches for your toes to poke through. The PVC bridging over the toes is pretty stiff for the first few wears, but this should loosen over time. The ankle strap is 12 inches in circumference. There are five pre-punched holes in the strap, though if needed, you would be able to punch more holes into the strap. The metal buckle feels pretty sturdy, and is on a piece of elastic to help make it easier to put the shoes on. I found the PVC strap to be a little stiff at first, making it tricky to put the shoes on, but these have loosened with a few wears.

When wearing the shoes I found that they were easy to walk in. The heel feels stable and the platform isn’t too high for me. However, the shoes did dig in around my toes a bit, leaving some marking after wear. I have rather narrow feet, so if you are wider footed, these open toed shoes might not be the best option for you. When taking the shoes off, I found that the PVC had gripped round my toes. This made them tricky to remove, meaning that I had to gently wiggle my feet out of them. I think this is partly due to how PVC changes in size due to temperature. I haven’t experienced any problems with the ankle straps rubbing or digging in; they seem to offer a sufficient amount of support and security. With the ankle straps, faux leather lining, and textured soles, I was able to wear these shoes without my feet slipping around.

Overall, I like the Katie Low nitelife stripper style heels. At first I wasn’t sure if I was the kind of person who would like to wear stripper style heels, but they have grown on me rather quickly, and do make me feel sexy while wearing them. I also like how they aren’t overly high compared to similarly designed shoes. OK, normally I wear heels for everything, it’s like my body was made to wear heels and nothing else, but sometimes overly high shoes can stomp down my confidence a bit, due to the fear of falling. I’d definitely recommend these shoes to those who have looked at similar styles before, and thought ‘woah, that heel’s massive’, as unlike others, these only have a 1 inch platform and 5 inch heel. Not only am I pleased with these shoes, but my partner also seems to like how they look on me. I will be regularly wearing these shoes in the bedroom, even though they do slightly dig in around my toes; it’s not too bad and is worth the sacrifice, as they do look great.

Give Lube Premium Aqua Gel - updated formula

Give Lube is a new brand of lubricant designed to be used by anyone, even people with sensitive skin. When buying lubricants I tend to try and find one which is kind and gentle to my body. I suffer from sensitive skin, and have found that some lubricants cause me to develop a rash. I also try and avoid lubricants that will upset my PH balance. Aqua Gel doesn’t contain glycerine, so it shouldn’t cause any unwanted nasties such as thrush. GiveLubes Premium Aqua Gel contains Aloe Vera and Panthenol for added skin care.

Aqua Gel is a water based lubricant which is suitable to use with most sex toys, including silicone ones. It’s also suitable to use with latex condoms.

I actually had to look up what Panthenols are. Panthenol is basically a B5 vitamin. It acts as a skin moisturiser, helping to relieve itching, as well as pre-existing skin conditions. Also, when mixed with other ingredients, it can help in skin absorbency. So to me, this made the lubricant seem promising, as not only should it be kind to my sensitive skin, but it also shouldn’t leave that tacky feeling that you get with some lubricants.

Ingredients: Aqua (water), Butylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Panthenol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Lactic Acid.

The Aqua Gel can be purchased in three different sized bottles. I received the smallest bottle which is 30ml. I rather like the packing this lubricant arrives in; it is small, sturdy, and stylish. The stylish design and compact size means that you are able to keep it in a travel bag, or even out on the side of the dressing table. It reminds me of the packaging some deodorants come in, the more masculine ones, as it’s a black bottle, with silver and blue printed onto it. The lubricant dispenses through a flip cap; simply flip the cap open, tip and squeeze the bottle. The lid does seem to be pretty secure compared to some lubricant bottles, and the bottle itself doesn’t allow too much lubricant out when squeezed. The lubricant has a few years of shelf life, and once opened it will keep fresh for up to 12 months.

The Give Lube Premium Aqua Gel is a moderately thick lubricant. In the past the Aqua Gel was a very thin consistency, only really useful as an addition to your natural vaginal lubrication, so Give Lube subtly altered the ingredients to make it thicker, meaning that it would suit more uses.

The lubricant has a very slight earthy/herbal aroma to it. When applying the lubricant to dry skin, I noticed that it felt kind of greasy. It seems that the lubricant wouldn’t be absorbed easily, leaving that undesired oily sheen. After massaging it into my skin, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the lubricant didn’t leave any undesired tackiness. Not only was it absorbed nicely, but it left my skin with a slightly moisturised feel. After doing this patch test, there was no irritation to my skin. The lubricant seems to have a very mild taste, which I can only describe as being somewhere between bitter and sweet.

When using the lubricant during masturbation, I found it mixed well with my vaginal fluids. When mixed with my natural moistures, I found that it didn’t have the same greasy feeling that it had when rubbed into dry skin. The lubricant didn’t dry out too quickly, but when it did dry out, I was easily able to reactivate it with a small amount of saliva. The new thicker formula works well for anal penetration as well; the consistency isn’t too gloopy. It stays where you apply it, and offers a nice smooth coating to the area, without blocking stimulation. The lubricant doesn’t leave you feeling overly slippery, unlike some. Once applied to an area it will stay there, unless water is added to the mixture. I feel that the lubricant will last a long time, as you only need to use small amount of it when compared to some lubricants.

The lubricant washes off easily with soap and water. It isn’t suited to underwater play.

Overall, I like the Aqua Gel lubricant and feel that the new thicker formula is a welcome improvement. It mixes well with my natural moistures, without leaving me with that unpleasant tacky feeling after use. So far the formula has been gentle to my skin and hasn’t upset my PH balance, which is a big bonus. The lubricant works well for a mixture of activities, including anal, unlike the previous thinner formula. I think, as the small bottle is the perfect size for travel, I will be keeping a bottle in my bag or coat pocket when out. It’s far more convenient than stashing individual sachets.

The Fleur De Lis Silicone Bliss is just less than 8 inches in length, with a maximum 4.25 inches of girth. The shaft has four main bulges, about an inch in length each. The shaft is made from plushy silicone that causes minimal drag when rubbed against dry skin. The silicone used on the shaft feels higher quality than most sex toys. Separating the battery cap from the main shaft is a plastic silver ring; unfortunately the silver colouring marks easily. The battery cap has the brand name printed in silver on top of the glossy ABS plastic. At the base of the unit there is a single button for turning the toy on. Unscrewing the battery cap will reveal a removable plastic tray for two AAA batteries. The battery tray is very fiddly to use, and a little flimsy seeming, although it hasn’t broken yet. When screwing the cap back on, I found that the spring connector would catch onto the hook on the battery tray, making the batteries sit out of line. It took a few attempts at unscrewing and retightening the cap to get the battery tray to stay in position.

The toy has three speed settings. The vibrations range from a mild to moderate intensity, and are mostly felt in the tip of the toy. The vibrator isn’t overly loud; I doubt you would be able to hear it from another room while it’s in use.

When using the Fleur De Lis Silicone Bliss, I found I needed additional lubrication prior to insertion. This was partly due to the nature of the silicone, but also due to the flexible shaft making insertion more difficult. Once inserted, I enjoyed how the bulges on the shaft rippled up and down my vaginal walls as I thrusted. The toy worked best for shallow insertion, stimulating around my vaginal entrance, and acting as an excellent toy for foreplay. The toy wasn’t able to hit my G-spot, but really the Fleur De Lis Silicone Bliss isn’t designed for G-spot stimulation, and is instead aimed more at textured play. However, when used for deeper penetration, the flexible shaft comfortably stimulated my A-spot, without me having to worry about bruising my cervix.

The Fleur De Lis Silicone Bliss also works well as an external vibrator for massaging the labia. The bumps slowly caressed my labia and clitoris, heightening my general sense of arousal. The vibrations weren’t strong enough to cause me to experience a clitoral orgasm, but being able to gently caress my erogenous zones helped prepare my body for using a bigger toy, or intercourse.

Cleaning the toy is easy as it is waterproof, although sometimes dirt will become trapped between the silver band and shaft. The toy can be washed in warm water, with your standard antibacterial toy cleaner. After use I recommend you remove the battery tray, as this toy seems to drain battery charge whilst in storage. Once the toy is dry, simply place it back into its lushly decorative container to ensure it is kept dirt free.

Overall, the Fleur De Lis Silicone Bliss is an ideal warm-up toy for use by yourself, or with a partner. The toy works well for textured stimulation, as the graduated bumps feel gorgeous as they caress your body. It would make an excellent introductory sex toy for first timers, and a beautiful gift, thanks to its pretty packaging.

Fun Factory Smartvibe G3: The Boss

The Fun Factory Boss is a larger than average semi-realistic vibrator, featuring the G3 Smartvibe turbo button. I was pleased to be sent The Boss to review for Nice ‘n’ Naughty. As someone who likes larger girth toys, I was hopeful that the semi-realistic shape would work for my body, and that the slightly curved tip and protruding glans would be great for G-spot stimulation. I also liked the idea of using the turbo button, as I often find that a boost in vibration on the verge of orgasm can increase their strength.

The toy arrives in a silver and red box. At the front of the box there is a window revealing the toy. The back of the box folds outwards, again showing the toy through an additional window. On the cardboard flaps you will find a variety of product information. The Boss is waterproof. It requires four AAA batteries to power it. Inside the box you will find the toy in a plastic tray. It also contains an instruction leaflet, a mini catalogue of other Fun Factory toys, and a small sample of lubricant. The packaging isn’t the most practical for storing the toy long-term, as it’s flimsy and bulky. I’d recommend finding an alternative way to store it.

The toy has three buttons in the base of the battery cap, a ‘+’ and a ‘-’ for altering the functions, and a turbo button for giving the vibrations an extra intensity boost. The vibrator has 8 intensity settings excluding the turbo boost; it has three modes of pulsation and escalation. To activate these modes press the ‘+’ button until you reach the 8^th intensity, then hold down the ‘+’ for a few seconds, and you will now be using the first pattern mode. By repeatedly pressing the ‘+’ you will cycle through these modes. To turn the toy off, hold down the ‘-’ button until you’re back at the very first intensity setting, and then tap it once more. Smartvibes are made to have stronger than average motors, with the option of a turbo boost button when you want to turn the intensity up a notch just for a few seconds. To use, simply hold down the turbo button for as long as you want to experience the boost. I experienced one problem when using the Turbo button; I found it to be rather stiff and tricky to push, meaning that when activating the turbo mode I was only able to hold the button down for very short bursts. The Smartvibes vibrations are fairly strong and rumbly. They can be felt throughout the whole toy. I found that a lot of the vibrations could be felt in my hand during use, which contributed to the buttons being difficult to use. When using the turbo button, you can really feel the vibrations at the tip. All the other settings are mostly felt nearer the base, and even though they do travel to the tip, they vanish when the shaft bends.

The Boss is a semi-realistic looking vibrator. It can be purchased in various colours, but I received it in vanilla, which I feel works very well, and makes the toy rather attractive compared to flesh tonedrealistic sex toys. The toy is 9 inches in length with approximately 6.5 inches of insertable shaft. Its girth is 5.25 inches at the thickest point. The silicone shaft is relatively flexible – if you like using toys in a rocking or curving motion then the Boss may not be suited to you, as the shaft will bend a lot. At the tip of the toy there is a bump meant to represent the glans found on a penis. The tip is tapered and at the top of the toy the glans juts out rather noticeably. Lower down the shaft there are a few softly raised vein-like bumps. Due to how far down the shaft these are, you are unlikely to experience much additional stimulation from them. The shaft of the toy is made from a matte silicone which causes a fair amount of friction when rubbed against dry skin – you will need additional lubrication to be able to use the toy comfortably.

When using the toy, I needed a small amount of additional lubrication and foreplay prior to insertion. I found that the tapered tip slid into my vaginal entrance with relative ease, but I experienced some problems when trying to insert past the glans, probably due to how the toy curves. After my body had become more relaxed I was able to insert more of the shaft. The glans curved upwards and hit my G-spot. When using the toy in a thrusting motion, I found that the glans caused me to experience some discomfort when pulling the toy away from my body. The main ridge of the glans would catch on the front of my vaginal wall and would rub and pinch around my G-spot, meaning that I had to limit the motions I used to be gentler than I would’ve liked for G-spot stimulation. I found that the base of the toy became slippery, making it hard to press the buttons, so I mainly ended up using the toy just on the highest setting. During use I naturally wanted to use my index finger to push the turbo button, but found I had to alter my grip and use my thumb to hold down the button, due to the force needed to activate it. Even though the shape of the toy wasn’t the most comfortable for my body, I found that the strength of the rumbly vibrations, with additional clitoral stimulation, did cause me to climax eventually. I really do feel that my body just doesn’t get along with the shape of The Boss, as I’ve experienced this problem with other very similar shaped toys in the past, even when their girth has been smaller. If the glans on The Boss were made from a softer silicone, I might've experienced less discomfort.

Cleaning the toy is simple as it is waterproof and made from silicone. Just use your standard antibacterial wash, and dry before putting it away. You will need to store it in a suitable bag or box, as the silicone picks up dirt easily.

I really wanted The Boss to work for me; sadly the shape just isn’t suited to my body. I feel that The Boss’s shape would work for some though, and the vibrations are strong, and should work for you if you enjoy deep rumbly sensations. I feel that the turbo button is far too awkward for me to use, and even my partner had some difficultly when holding it down, but maybe the button will loosen up over time. It is a very attractive looking toy considering it is a realistic style vibrator. Just be aware that the shape may not be right for you. Luckily, there are a variety of shapes in the Fun Factory G3 Smartvibe range; it’s just a matter of finding the one that suits you best.

Personal post: Gifts from Lovers

So, today was the first time I have ever received roses as a gift, and I have to say the experience is very different to what I had expected. I wasn’t after a fairy tale style bouquet that would take my breath away. But I was expecting them to be alive upon arrival, bunched-up professionally, and shipped via a florist. The roses I received arrived in a jiffy bag, without any water, and had been picked from someone’s garden. Upon opening the parcels, I could smell their fragrance wafting from their limp and lifeless petals. Was this meant to be romantic, or an attempt to please me while trying to save money? I honestly don’t know. I’m still pleased to have received roses, but I’m rather perplexed by the situation.

It has made me think about all the gifts I’ve received from lovers in the past, and I’ve made the conclusion that I’m rather unlucky with the gifts I have received.

Here’s a short list of some of the gifts I’ve received that haven’t gone down well:

A bag containing 10 silver pendants without chains. The lover, who sent me these, said it was because I liked jewellery and how I could make them into something wearable. He also stated that it was a real bargain to by a bag of them, rather than purchasing one or two.

Chocolates, normally a box of chocolates would go down well. The lover sent me a large box of Thornton’s chocolates, because he thought I was too skinner and that I was becoming unattractive.

A latex sex toy. I really appreciate getting sex toys from lovers, it can make using a toy feel slightly more special. The lover, who sent me this toy, knew I had a latex allergy, and the product information clearly stated that it contained latex.

A romantic book. The lover purchased me a second-hand copy of a book that’s still in print and at a very reasonable price. But that wasn’t the main problem. The problem with this book was that it had a romantic love letter written inside the cover, to someone else. Obviously that relationship didn’t last; otherwise the book wouldn’t have ended up in a second-hand shop.

An anime mug. Ok I’m an anime geek, I like to watch anime and appreciate certain aspects of Japanese merchandise... but a mug, of an anime I’m not even keen of, was a bit random and odd.

A meat sandwich, ok it’s random, it’s nice to be brought lunch while at work... but I’m a vegetarian, and have been one for a very long time. Also the guy had known me for a few years, so you would’ve thought he would’ve realised?

Wine glasses. Ok it was a lovely thought, but after travelling across the UK with them in a backpack, without wrapping them up in anything, you kind of expect them not to survive the trip.

That’s just a few I can think of.

Sin Five Flow

I was very interested in trying the Sin Five Flow. I have tried a few bendable vibrators in the past, but they still had some limitations, whereas the Flow is a sex toy which you are able to sculpt into almost any combination of bends and twists. The Flow can be used vaginally, anally, for double penetration, dual stimulation, or even with a partner. There are so many possibilities when using the Flow, so just let your creative side flow with your imagination. Not only are you able to sculpt the Flow freely, you can even position its bullet vibrator anywhere along it, meaning that if you want the vibrations to be more intense lower or higher up the shaft, you have that option.

The Sin Five Flow arrives in a slate coloured box with various product images on the front, depicting a few of the possibilities for sculpting the toy. On the back there is a small amount of information on what you can use the Flow for, how to use it, and how to care for the product. The front of the box opens up, revealing the toy resting on a thin cardboard insert.

The Flow is essentially a large circular piece of wire coated in a supple silicone. The silicone used is antimicrobial, meaning that it is extremely hygienic and resistant to things such as bacteria and mould. The silicone has a smooth luxurious feel to it, which causes mild drag when rubbed against dry skin – I would recommend using additional lubricant with this toy, especially if you intend to use it anally. You’re able to adjust its length and girth depending on how you bend and twist the toy. The toy comes with a standard sized plastic bullet which can be positioned between the wire, though you are also able to bend and shape the wire to hold other types of vibrators – such as a wand or classic style – as long as these aren’t made from silicone. When the silicone loop is pressed together into a straight line it is approximately 11.5 inches in length, and a minimum of 3.2 inches of circumference. When tightly twisting the wire, the toy becomes approximately 10 inches in length with 3.5 inches of circumference. Depending on how tightly you twist the toy, the length and girth will vary, but the more girth and less length also means more gaps between the wire. When first experimenting with bending and shaping the Flow you may find the product feels rather stiff. It will loosen over time, and also the product becomes easier to bend when it is at room temperature or warmer. The wire can be bent to keep a curve, either completely folded in half, or even knotted together. When using it as a standard vibrator I prefer to position the bullet around a quarter of the way up, meaning that I’m able to comfortably use the excess wire as a handle. Knotting one end forms a flared base, meaning that the toy can be used safely for anal.

When using the Flow I must admit I was slightly intimidated by it. Although it was a sex toy I really wanted to try, I worried about how comfortable it would be to actually use. I’m pleased to say that the majority of my experiences with the Flow – whether they be anal or vaginal – have been much better than anticipated. I did however learn one thing, which really should be obvious, but during the heat of arousal I foolishly felt I could get away with it - don’t ever try and bend/twist the wire whilst inserted. If you do this, you’re likely to experience great discomfort. Yes, the toy does slowly loosen during use, but forcefully twisting it back because it’s accidentally bent out of shape during thrusting isn’t wise. Remove the toy before bending it back into shape. The toy only bends out of your created shape when quite a lot of force is applied to it.

I have used the Flow the following ways:

Pushed together while keeping it completely straight for vaginal insertion – this wasn’t anything overly special; yes it worked, but it didn’t cause me to climax.

Twisted tightly with the bullet towards the base – I enjoyed how the ribbed textures felt vaginally, and the vibrations travelled well throughout the whole toy.

Twisted tightly with the bullet in the centre of the toy and the shaft bent for both anal and vaginal insertion – I was really worried about how comfortable the toy would be to insert anally. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, and the bumps were enjoyable. Inserting both ends for double penetration was a little tricky, and the vaginal end popped into my vaginal entrance uncomfortably. Once in position the toy felt better than most other double penetrative toys I’ve tried, probably partly due to how I was able to adjust the distance between the vaginal and anal end to suit my orifices better. I was able to loop my fingers round the centre of the toy and use it in a thrusting motion to produce an enjoyable orgasm, though it did lead to me experiencing mild repetitive strain syndrome.

Twisted and curved as a customisable G-spot toy – this is one of the best advantages of using this toy; if you have a fussy G-spot and need a toy to curve a particular way, then the Flow might be perfect for you. I was able to curve the toy and use it in a prodding motion to get the desired stimulation. I did, however, find that if using the toy too fiercely it would sometimes lose its shape, but because I was able to completely customise the curve for optimal G-spot stimulation, I needed to use a lot less force compared to some other less precise toys.

Using the toy for vaginal and clitoral stimulation – This didn’t work as well as I had hoped. I found that positioning the bullet in the shaft, so it was able to stimulate my clitoris was fiddly. After rearranging the shape of the Flow and the position of the bullet, I thought I had finally gotten it to work, but every time I thrusted with the toy the bullet would become lose and eventually pop out.

Shaping to form a butt plug/anal safe toy – Even though it’s possible to shape the toy into something that could be deemed a butt plug, I found that it wasn’t very comfortable to wear. However I did like using the toy as an anal dildo, especially when twisted, the experience was very similar to using anal beads.

The Flow can also be used to restrain someone’s hands or feet depending on their size. Simply twist it in the centre to form cuffs. It’s not the most effective form of restraint, but it kind of works if you’re looking for something to use in the heat of the moment. Also be careful, as silicone tends to grip onto hair.

My main problem with the Flow is the bullet; I feel that for the price it would’ve been nice to receive something more powerful, and with multiple speeds. I also found that because the bullet is made from smooth plastic, it would slip out of the Flow regularly, especially when the toy’s shape loosens during use or lubricant gets onto the bullet. I experimented with using a textured bullet or toy, and this greatly reduced the occurrence of this problem. I was even able to make an insertable attachment for my Hitachi WandVibrator, which is extremely powerful. The Flow stayed wrapped round the Hitachi a lot better than when gripping round the bullet, probably due to how the Hitachi’s head is textured, rather than smooth ABS plastic.

The Flow is a little trickier than some toys to clean, even though the silicone is antimicrobial, because of how you are able to twist the toy. You have to completely untwist it prior to cleaning and allow it to dry, before re-shaping and putting away. The bullet can be cleaned with your standard antibacterial wash and water, as it is waterproof.

Overall, I do like the possibilities the Flow offers, but some shapes and twists work better than others. I am disappointed with the bullet, and feel that something slightly stronger, and with a textured surface, would work better. Luckily you are able to change the vibrator you use to something that suits the shapes and vibrations you desire. The Flow is a good toy, especially if you want to be able to manipulate its shape for maximum G-spot pleasure, and it’s also really fun trying out new things with it.

Anniix - Fusion of Pleasure

The Anniix is a silicone dildo, with a hollow chamber at the base for the insertion of two fingers. This design is meant to provide a more natural grip, making the toy more comfortable to use compared to most standard dildos. I often experience problems when gripping dildos, as a lot are designed to be harness compatible, meaning that the large and heavy base causes my arm to tire quickly. With the Anniix, I was hoping I wouldn’t experience these problems, and that using the dildo would feel more natural.

The Anniix arrives in a compact black box, with the product name and logo printed on it. The box is very practical; the toy fits perfectly inside it, without using any additional space or packaging – I feel more companies should use this approach to packaging. Inside the box, you will also find a set of instructions on how to use and care for the Anniix dildo.

The Anniix is a lot larger than I expected, being 10.5 inches in length with 7.5 inches of insertable shaft. The first 3.5 inches of the toy are made up of firm silicone, and the rest of the shaft is a hollow silicone shell, with two 4 inch long chambers for inserting fingers into. The chamber is rather long for me. More of a problem with it is that while being designed for two fingers, I’m able to comfortably insert three. This means I have a rather loose grip on it. The chamber area is made from smooth glossy silicone. The shaft has a slight curve to it. The toy’s girth is pretty big, being almost 6 inches in circumference. The tip of the toy is slightly tapered, and has six teardrop-like bumps on its top; these bumps are fairly pronounced compared to textures found on most toys. The head of the toy is 2 inches in length, below it there is a groove running round its shaft. Further down the topside of the shaft you will find two gentle ridges. On the underside of the toy, roughly halfway down, there are four prominent ridges – during use I found these rarely get inserted.

When using the Anniix you will almost certainly need some foreplay and the use of additional lubricant prior to insertion, as the outer surface is made from a matte silicone. The matte silicone seems to have a drying effect, so make sure you have your lubricant handy while using the toy too. During insertion, even after foreplay and lubrication, I experienced some difficulties with the Anniix. At first I was only able to insert about an inch of the toy into my vagina, as my body adjusted to the size. The teardrop-like bumps grated away at my vaginal opening. This sensation passed as the toy was inserted deeper into my vagina. As the toy went deeper in, the head curved onto my G-spot. The teardrop-like bumps no longer caused discomfort, and were reasonably pleasurable when rubbed against my G-spot. Once my body had adjusted to the toy more, I was able to comfortably use the finger chambers when thrusting with the toy. However, I feel the finger chambers are slightly too large, which occasionally caused some problems when controlling the toy. The majority of the time I was only able to insert 4 - 4.5 inches of the shaft, but this is just right for hitting my G-spot. When inserting just over 4 inches of the shaft, I was able to feel the raised ribs on the underside of the toy rub round the vaginal entrance. On the few occasions these ribs were inserted into my vagina, I found they caused more discomfort than pleasure. Once I had gotten into the motion of using the finger chambers to control my thrusting, I was able to quickly reach orgasm. The orgasm produced wasn’t as strong as I might get from other toys, but this is probably due to how much discomfort I felt from the various textures. I feel that if the Anniix was slightly smaller in girth, then maybe I would have been able to appreciate the textures more, without them causing so much discomfort. The sheer girth of the toy forces the textures into my vaginal walls. When removing the toy I was pleasantly surprised I didn’t experience any problems.

Cleaning the Anniix is a little bit more difficult than some dildos, due to the internal finger chambers. The chambers are difficult to clean inside and will need to be aired to dry. You may find that you will have to pay a little bit of additional attention when cleaning the teardrop-like bumps, as these seem to trap dirt around them. Use either your standard antibacterial wash, bleach solution, boil, or sterilize to clean the silicone. Allow it to air dry before putting it away – the silicone easily becomes dirty when left out.

Overall, I like the idea behind the Anniix, and the finger chambers do make the toy more comfortable to use than a lot of dildos, but I feel that the girth and textures need to be a little less. Normally I’m all for girth and textures, and rarely experience any problems, but with the Anniix I feel the combination work against the toy, making it uncomfortable to use at times. I also feel that the finger chambers are slightly too large. If these chambers were slightly smaller I would have been able to gain better control over the toy. I do have small hands though, but be aware that if your hands are particularly small or large, using the Anniix may prove problematic. The Anniix is still pleasurable to use and does cause me to climax, but I just wish the experience was a little more comfortable.

Love Diamond

The Love Diamond is a rabbit style vibrator, with a hard plastic bump in the shaft, coated in a soft TPR, with a diamond texture for stimulating the G-spot. The vibrator also has the option of up to 200 patterns for the rotating shaft and the vibrating clitoral stimulator. The clitoral stimulator’s appearance is very different to the standard wildlife fare you might find, such as a rabbit or dolphin, and instead resembles three human fingers squeezed together.

The Love Diamond arrives in a large cardboard box. On the front there is an image of a woman wearing diamonds. Although the image isn’t overly crude compared to some pictures found on other sex toy packaging, I’m still not overly keen on it, and I feel it makes the item appear cheap. Also on the packaging you will find several images of the product, one of which has additional product information labelled next to it.

The vibrator is made from a soft clear TPR, which according to the packaging is skin safe and is meant to be unscented; I found the product smelt very synthetic even after a few washes. The toy is 10 inches in length with 5.5 inches of insertable shaft. The tip of the toy is tapered and made to look like the glans on a penis, and just below the glans there is a raised ring running round the shaft. At the centre of this ring there is a large polygonally textured bump, which is meant to resemble a diamond. This diamond is for G-spot stimulation. Underneath the soft textured diamond there is a small hard piece of plastic, to help add extra stimulation to the G-spot.

The clitoral stimulator is 2.5 inches long and can be bent 180 degrees away from the main shaft. This is made-up to look like three fingers, each tipped with a long fingernail, and these fingernails are exceptionally plushy.

At the base of the toy there is a control unit with six buttons. These buttons are quite stiff, and can therefore be a problem to use. There is a separate on/off button, two buttons for the clitoral vibrator’s intensity, two for the speed of the rotating shaft, and another button labelled ‘F’, which changes the patterns of both the clitoral vibrations and the rotating shaft. Using the function button affects both the clitoral stimulator and rotating shaft, unless one or the other is turned off at the time. When in use, there are three LEDs that light up: one when the device is on, one when the clitoral stimulator is active, and the other when the rotating shaft is in use. These LEDs are situated above the corresponding buttons. The Love Diamond takes three AA batteries. The battery compartment is waterproof, and feels secure and well sealed when screwed tight.

When using the toy I found that I needed very little additional lubrication. The tapered head easily entered my vagina. While inserting the toy I expected to experience some additional stimulation from the diamond-like texture on the shaft, but due to the plushiness of the TPR I barely felt any stimulation from it. Once the shaft was fully inserted, I found the clitoral stimulator sat a little too high to immediately stimulate my clitoris, meaning I had to reposition it. When turning the toy on I decided to start with the rotating shaft. I found that the rotations were relatively powerful compared to some other rabbits I’ve used, but they were also extremely loud and slightly off-putting. While the shaft was rotating, I was able to feel the diamond texture adding to the sensations, but it was slightly too high up on the shaft and missed my G-spot. I feel that if the diamond bump was half an inch, maybe even an inch lower on the shaft, then it would’ve been able to massage my G-spot effectively.

When using the clitoral stimulator, the vibrations were slightly stronger than I expected, but the finger nails didn’t offer much stimulation. I have experimented a bit with the function button, but I actually found it a bit of a nuisance, mostly because the button is so tough to press. With a vibrator that offers so many choices, I feel there needs to be a better way of selecting the modes. Essentially, I ended up mostly using this vibrator in its most basic rotation and vibration mode, at the highest intensity. This did cause me to experience a fairly pleasant orgasm quite quickly, but it wasn’t as enjoyable as I had hoped. I feel this was partly due to the noise level, but also because I would’ve liked the clitoral stimulator to be more powerful, and have better nubs that moved more with the vibrations.

Cleaning the Love Diamond is simple as it is waterproof. Most dirt is easily washed away with your standard antibacterial wash, even around its fingernails and diamond-like textures.

Overall, the Love Diamond is an ok rabbit vibrator, and it is fairly powerful compared to some I’ve tried, though this is probably due to it taking AA batteries rather than AAA. The rotating shaft is rather pleasing, and you don’t have the worry of beads getting jammed. I feel that the diamond texture needs to be a bit lower down on the shaft to actually stimulate the G-spot, though I’m aware that not everyone will experience this problem. I also feel that the clitoral stimulator needs to be smaller, as it is so imprecise it can miss the clitoris easily. I would’ve liked it to have had more texture on the clitoral stimulator too, and dare I say it... even ‘ears’. The Love Diamond might be a good vibrator for some, but like most rabbits it has its limitations, and may not work for everyone’s anatomy, as we are all so different.

Leaf Touch

Leaf vibrators by Swan are a new line of sex toys which offer the user complete control over the strength of the vibrations, through a simple one-touch press and hold button. Leaf toys are designed to be body friendly and ergonomically shaped, as well as being eco-friendly thanks to being rechargeable. I received the Leaf Touch to review, which is a slender clitoral vibrator designed to offer pinpoint stimulation.

The Touch arrives in a sturdy box that seems rather large, yet with a simple, modern eco-friendly feel to it. There is a small amount of product information on the packaging, and a silhouette of the toy; because of this I feel that it’s not the most discreet packaging. The box is sealed by a magnetic latch. Upon opening the box you find a folder containing the Touch’s instructions, and hiding underneath this are the toy, travel bag, and charger. The drawstring canvas bag is large enough to store the Touch and its charger; this may be better suited to storing the toy, as even though the box is nice, it is very large when compared with the toy. The Touch is 5 inches in length, which is longer than standard clitoral stimulators. The toy’s shape is meant to resemble a leaf, and to me it looks similar to either a green banana or a tropical leaf, due to its curved body and pointed tips. The toy is just over 3½ inches in girth at its thickest point. You will find the motor in the slightly thicker portion of the toy, and the thinner end – which contains the AC port – is meant to act as a contoured handle. Personally I was expecting the thinner portion of the toy to contain the motor, as it just looks like it would offer better pin-point vibrations when used clitorally, but the toy’s curves do fit nicely within the palm of my hand, and I’m able to rest a finger on the raised button with confidence.

The toy is coated in a matte green silicone over a firm body. The Touch isn’t really flexible, but it does have a little plushiness at each tip. The silicone has a manufacturing seam, and there is some texture, due to odd bits of text found embossed onto the toy – this actually helps when gripping the toy while slippery.

The Touch’s initial charge takes 3 hours. Once charged you will need to deactivate the travel lock. I experienced a little difficultly taking the toy out of the travel lock mode, and putting it into travel lock mode. To activate or deactivate the travel lock, you have to tap the button three times quickly in succession. I found that the toy is very fussy about this, and sometimes the operation would take a lot longer than desired. However, once you’ve got the hang of it, it can be done with relative ease.

To turn the toy on just hold down the button, and after a few seconds you should start to feel vibrations. The longer you hold down the ‘Press and Hold’ control, the stronger the vibrations will get. The vibrator offers only continuous vibrations, rather than any pre-programmed pattern modes. I actually like how I’m able to hold this button to simply and quickly get to the desired strength. I find a lot of vibrators have too many modes, and I often opt for a single speed mode. The vibrations are a little buzzy, and even though the Touch uses what is known as a ‘Power Bullet’ as its motor, I found the vibrations weren’t as strong as I would’ve liked. The Touch, when at its most powerful, offers moderately strong vibrations. However, I do like how I’m able to have more control when adjusting the vibration strength, when compared to other clitoral stimulators. I found that the motor didn’t irritate my grip, but I would’ve preferred it to be a little closer to the tip of the toy. The vibrations aren’t overly loud, but they also aren’t the quietest. To turn the toy off, simply quickly tap the power button. When using the vibrator you are unable to go back to the lower settings; if you accidentally miss the strength you desired, you have to turn the vibrator off and start over again. Some may find this annoying, but as the toy is relatively easy to use and doesn’t take long to select the strength, I found it didn’t bother me.

During use I found that the Touch was a decent clitoral stimulator. I found that a small amount of water-based lubrication was needed, to reduce the friction caused by the matte silicone. The Touch was extremely easy to control, and thanks to its ergonomic body I found that I didn’t experience any wrist ache during use. Sadly, even when on its highest setting, I found that the Touch took a lot longer than I would’ve liked to bring me to clitoral orgasm. I feel that if the motor was just a touch stronger, then this would make it a lot better at clitoral stimulation. I found that the Touch worked not only as an external vibrator, but also as an internal vibrator. I was able to use the toy to produce shallow vaginal stimulation, and occasional stimulation to my G-spot. The Touch’s surface area isn’t really wide enough to produce strong G-spot stimulation, but if you are someone who likes to mix-up external and internal stimulation, then the Touch works well.

The Touch is also able to be placed externally, curving naturally to sit between the labia, and offering stimulation to the vulva and anus. I was even able to place the Touch within some underpants, where it comfortably rested in place, even while sitting down or doing general chores.

Cleaning the Touch is fairly easy, as the toy is made from silicone and is waterproof. The only area that concerns me when cleaning the Touch is the hole for the AC adaptor; even though it has a waterproof valve, it can still trap a small amount of dirt. To clean, simply use your normal antibacterial wash and water, dry, and then store within the bag provided.

Overall, the Touch is a fairly good vibrator, even though it isn’t as strong as I would’ve liked. Due to the strength and shape of the toy, it is perfect when accompanied with another toy. The shape also means that it would be a good couples toy, as it’s very easy to control. This all adds up to make the Touch a fairly versatile vibe.

I recently received the We-Vibe 3 directly from the manufacturer, to review and compare with the We-Vibe 2, which I and my partner have had for over a year now. When originally trying out the We-Vibe 2 we were a little unsure how well we would get along with it, due to reading other people’s experiences with the toy’s shape and functionality. Like others, we too had a few issues with the We-Vibe 2’s power and controls, but I’m happy to say that these problems have mostly been rectified with the We-Vibe 3.

The We-Vibe is a sex toy designed to be used during intercourse with a partner. The toy’s curved body is designed to comfortably rest on the G-spot and the clitoris, while being able to stay in position during penetrative sex. Though it is intended for couple play, it can be used during solo play, whether this is by itself, for anal stimulation, double penetration, general massage, or with another non-silicone toy during insertion.

While the We-Vibe 2 arrived in a relatively plain box, with a basic travel bag, charger, and instructions, the We-Vibe 3 arrives in a more modern oval shaped box, adorned with various product images. Inside you will find an AC adaptor, and the travel case and charger combo, with the toy resting within. The We-Vibe 3’s charger, which also acts as a storage case, is a brilliant improvement; I found the satin pouch with the We-Vibe 2 stuck to its silicone sometimes, making it tricky to get the toy out of the pouch. The storage case of the We-Vibe 3 looks relatively innocuous.

Unlike some rechargeable vibrators the We-Vibe does not come charged; instead you have to wait 24 hours while it sits to one side taunting you. The We-Vibe 2 has a hole for a jack-pin to be plugged directly into the toy, whereas the We-Vibe 3 simply rests in its case, which charges the toy magnetically. Both the We-Vibe 2 and 3 are sadly lacking an indicator to let you know when the toy is fully charged. The We-Vibe 3 does have an LED which lights up on its charging base, but this is only to indicate that the charger is plugged in. Both the We-Vibe 2 and 3 keep charge well, and the motors maintain their power output throughout the whole battery charge. After the initial charge, the We-Vibe only takes a few hours to recharge. The We-Vibe 3’s remote isn’t rechargeable, but its battery should last several years before dying. The remote will automatically go into stand-by mode when not in use, to conserve battery.

The We-Vibe is a C-shaped toy that is fairly flexible, so it can sit comfortably against the female anatomy, while allowing a partner’s penis to be inserted at the same time. It has two ends which are designed to stimulate different areas. You are able to insert the G-spot end up to 3 inches, and the clitoral end is just over 3 inches long. This means that the product might be too big or small to hit your spots perfectly, depending on your body. The smaller end has six prominent curved ridges, which are designed to rub against the G-spot, and the bigger end has eight smooth raised lines which gently massage the clitoris. On the opposite side on the larger end you will find the brand name, which is slightly raised, but this doesn’t seem to cause irritation to your partner during use. This logo is even less pronounced on the We-Vibe 3, further reducing the chance of irritation. On the We-Vibe 2, on the bigger end, is a hole for the charger. The We-Vibe 3 is magnetically charged though, so there are no holes in the silicone, improving the product’s hygiene. Around the product is a fine manufacturing mould seam, which does not interfere during insertion, however I was hoping that in the We-Vibe 3 the silicone would be a little less tacky feeling, and seamless. The silicone does seem to cause some mild friction, and feels best when a small amount of additional lubrication is used – be careful not to apply too much, as this will make the We-Vibe harder to keep in place.

The on/off switch is a raised button found in the larger portion of the toy; it’s rather small and fiddly to use, especially during play, as it can become slippery and a fair amount of pressure is needed to push it. The We-Vibe 3 has the on/off button like all the previous models, but it isn’t solely dependent on it during use. With the We-Vibe 3 you are able to choose between using the wireless remote to activate the toy and its vibrations, or if you prefer, you can still use the button on the vibrator. You even have the option of switching between using the remote and the push-button, or if you want to be cheeky and change the setting even if your partner has the remote, you are able to do so. You just need to hold down the button on either the toy or the remote for a few seconds, and it turns off straight away, meaning no hassle having to cycle through to the end. Also, this is a clever little vibe, as it remembers the last mode you were using when turned off this way, so if you have a favourite, you don’t have to cycle through to it again next time you want to use it. I do wish that the remote on the We-Vibe 3 had another option, so you can also cycle back to previous modes, as if you accidentally skip past a mode you have to cycle all the way through again. I also feel that it would be handy to have some way of indicating which mode you are selecting with the remote. I understand that the We-Vibe 3 is intended to be used in a couple, and it expects both partners to be able to feel the vibrations at the same time, but this isn’t always the case. A simple LED would be handy. Also the remote is rather small, and can become lost during the heat of the moment; I think that having a wrist strap added to the remote would be beneficial, so it doesn’t become lost under the bed.

The We-Vibe 3 is apparently 40% more powerful than the We-Vibe 2. At first I was a little unsure about the power difference, but after testing the product out, I can safely say that the We-Vibe 3 is more powerful. There are some that are still complaining about the lack of power, but personally I found it strong enough to stimulate my G-spot and clitoris, aiding a stronger and quicker orgasm during penetrative sex. You have to take into consideration that overly powerful vibrations can actually be a disadvantage during intimate sex. Too much vibration can take away other sensations produced by sex, as well as potentially causing premature ejaculation. The motors used in the We-Vibe 3 are still rather rumbly, but not as rumbly feeling as the We-Vibe 2. The motors in the We-Vibe 3 seem to make the vibrator quieter.

The We-Vibe 3 actually has less vibration modes than the previous We-Vibe 2; I think this is a good improvement however, as the We-Vibe2 had too many options, which could become annoying to cycle through during the heat of the moment. The We-Vibe 3 only has 6 vibration modes, compared to the We-Vibe 2’s 9 modes.

During solo use:

It is very enjoyable to use the We-Vibe by yourself. I have found it, on its own without additional toys, to be very stimulating. It seems to hit my G-spot better without other toys interfering. However, the body of the toy is too flexible to cause consistent enough stimulation for a G-spot orgasm.

You can use the We-Vibe with other toys, although make sure these aren’t silicone, as you do not want to damage them. I found glass and wooden dildos to work well here, and the We-Vibe is more stable and stays in position better than during penetrative sex.

You can use the We-Vibe 3 for shallow double penetration, although the signals from the remote don’t always reach the toy while it is being used this way. This can make changing setting during use difficult.

The We-Vibe can be used as a solo toy, not just by women, but by men too, in order to stimulate the P-spot. Luckily, as the We-Vibe 3 is completely waterproof and made from silicone, you are able to sterilise it between uses. The end that would normally stimulate the female’s G-spot should reach the P-spot, while the other end should hit the perineum.

We-Vibe together:

When we first received the We-Vibe we wanted to get to know the toy prior to intercourse, and experimented with the vibrator externally. I know a lot of couples who have purchased this product found that it has let them down during penetrative sex, but this does not mean you should just discard the product, as there are still many fun things you can use it for. We found that this was excellent to use for stimulating the nipples. Just gently press the small end and the big end around the nipple and set it to your favourite vibration; we both found this arousing. Don’t stop there - experiment by running the ends gently down your partner’s back to send shudders through their body, which is great if you have a tense back and just need that additional help to relax. Why not run the two ends up and down the penis to really help your partner get into the mood of things? Finally, why not use both ends to stimulate the clitoris? If you found the clitoral end to be too weak during penetration, pinching both the ends together and placing them on the clitoris or to either side gives you twice the vibrations.

The We-Vibe in missionary position:

It is best to insert the vibe and position it before the penis enters. I feel that some people might find lubricant handy for this, so have some water based lube standing by, as the silicone does cause some friction on dry skin. We found that foreplay was needed to make it more comfortable. I found the We-Vibe hit my G-spot and clitoris perfectly before we combined it with penetrative sex. Once you are ready it isn’t difficult to insert the penis in alongside this device, which is different to other sex enhancers that we have tried in the past, as some of them have caused great discomfort. My partner experienced very little discomfort, and said it felt more natural than most enhancers as it did not interfere as much. The only thing that he noticed, other than the strong vibrations, was that the clitoral end would sometimes press into his skin, causing some irritation. When the penis was inserted alongside the We-Vibe, sadly for me the vibe got pushed to the side slightly, meaning that is didn’t rest on my G-spot or clitoris too well. We did come up for a solution for this though, as after reading reviews we found it wasn’t just us this happened to.

Our solution was to place a condom over the We-Vibe’s G-spot end and the penis simultaneously. Even though this was a little fiddly, it didn’t take too long to do, and even though it was slightly harder to insert into my vagina, with some additional lube and foreplay it caused only very mild discomfort, and once inserted was comfortable. This time we found that it managed to hit my G-spot more constantly, and stayed positioned on my clitoris too, making the experience much more satisfying for me.

The We-Vibe can work well in other positions as well as missionary. Basically you just need to experiment a bit to find the one that’ll work best for both you and your partner.

If you have an adjustable cockring you can hook the We-Vibe between the ring and the penis to help keep it in position. Remember to make sure that the cockring isn’t made from silicone.

Cleaning the We-Vibe 3 is a lot simpler than the We-Vibe 2, due to it being waterproof, meaning that you are able to soak it in sterilizing solution if needed. The silicone on both We-Vibe toys becomes dirty easily, so once cleaned and dried I recommend storing the We-Vibe in its travel container or bag. The We-Vibe 3’s remote is also water proof, meaning that it too can be cleaned in water, with your standard antibacterial wash. In the unlikely event that the We-Vibe 3’s charging case becomes dirty, simply use a damp cloth to wipe it clean.

Overall, I like the improvements made to the We-Vibe 3; it is noticeably more powerful when compared to the We-Vibe 2, yet doesn’t interfere too much with the actual act of penetrative sex. The remote for the We-Vibe 3 really does make the toy more enjoyable to use, meaning that it is used more regularly, compared to how often we used to use the We-Vibe 2. I do however wish that there was a wrist strap or similar for the remote, as it is small and can become slippery easily. I feel that there aren’t many more improvements needed with the We-Vibe. I hope that in the future the silicone used to coat the toy will become better quality, and cause a little less friction when rubbed against the body. If you have been considering getting the We-Vibe, but had your doubts, I would definitely recommend opting for the We-Vibe 3 over the We-Vibe 2. It’s just that much easier to use, and better quality than the previous model, making the experience so much more enjoyable.

FixSation is a couples vibrator which is meant to offer hands-free clitoral stimulation during intercourse. Unlike other couples toys, where the clitoral stimulator is either held in place by being partly inserted into the vagina, or as a nub on a cockring, FixSation is held into position by suspender-like lingerie. This means the toy avoids getting in the way of penetrative sex, while the couple’s bodies cause friction, helping the textures on the toy add extra stimulation to the vulva, alongside the strong vibrations.

The FixSation come in a rather stylish box. I’m actually rather impressed with the packaging, as it is sturdy, compact, and doesn’t scream ‘Sex Toy’. Inside the box you will find the toy, charger, a satin bag, instructions, and the strap-on lingerie.

The toy is made from a skin-safe material which is smooth and rigid. It is approximately 2 inches by 2 ½ inches, so you might want to check this size would work for you, to stimulate your vulva and clitoris, before purchase. On the back of the toy are three ridges aimed at stimulating the clitoris. The other side features the on/off button, and a row of finer ridges, aimed at stimulating your partner’s body. The toy is rechargeable; before use you are meant to charge the toy for 8 hours, and its charge lasts up to 2 hours. After the initial charge it only requires up to 4 hours charging time. The DC charging port is sealed away behind a protective cover.

The lingerie is similar to a suspender belt, but sadly doesn’t have an adjustable waistband or leg straps. Instead FixSation offers the lingerie in different sizes for optimised comfort. I chose medium as I’m in-between the small and medium sizes; even though the medium seems to fit me, it does feel a little too big. As the elastic is very stretchy, I feel that if you are between sizes – like me – it would probably be best to opt for the size down. The lingerie will wear over time, but luckily you are able to purchase replacements separately. The lingerie is made from a soft elasticised lacy band. There is a fabric tag sewn into the band which is easily removed, and at the front there are two strong elastic ribbons which are meant to be threaded between the legs, and hooked into the back of the band. The toy threads onto these ribbons too, which can be a bit fiddly, so make sure you have checked the instructions and thread the toy through the right way.

There are three vibration intensities. The FixSation doesn’t have any escalation or pulsation modes. To turn the toy on, simply hold down the power button for a few seconds, and once on, the button will light up. The toy starts on a mild vibration setting, with the next setting moderately powerful, and the last fairly strong. The vibrations are rather loud and seem a bit buzzy. To turn the toy off, hold down the power button for a few seconds again.

When first trying on the FixSation, I instantly thought that the product wasn’t going to work for me. The toy didn’t want to sit correctly and was hanging away from my body. It took me a few minutes before I realised I had actually put it on back-to-front. Once I had put the toy on the right way round, it rested against my vulva comfortably. To make the toy rest on my clitoris I had to reposition my labia. I’ve tried similar toys before which were aimed at offering hands free clitoral stimulation, but sadly I hadn’t found one which actually stayed in place comfortably. The FixSation surprised me with how comfortable it was to wear, and how the gently contoured body of the toy rested nicely against me.

During use, while having penetrative sex with my partner, we found that the toy rested in position perfectly and didn’t get in the way. We did however find that changing the vibration setting during sex was a little difficult; not only because of where the button is positioned, but also due to the amount of pressure you have to apply when pressing the button. We found that the button became even harder to use when lubrication had gotten onto the device. The vibrations did add a little extra to intercourse, but they weren’t the strongest. My partner got no benefit from them. When using the toy during missionary position, the friction between my partner’s body and mine did make the toy move slightly, meaning that I was able to benefit from extra stimulation produced by the raised ridges. However, I did find that every so often the gaps at the side of the toy, where the straps thread through, would occasionally catch my skin and cause mild discomfort, although this wasn’t enough to deem the experience unpleasant.

The FixSation also works well during solo use, whether it is being worn around the house while doing general daily tasks, or being used during solo masturbation alongside an insertable toy.

Cleaning the toy is relatively easy, as it is waterproof as long as the DC port stays covered. I did find that the gaps round the side of the toy were a little fiddly to wash, and that a damp cloth or cotton bud worked best for these. The lingerie can be washed at 30 degrees Celsius, though I would recommend hand washing them, because the straps can become tangled easily. Also, hand washing should help them keep their elasticity for longer.

Overall, I like the FixSation, but do feel that it needs a few improvements. The vibrations are relatively strong, but some may still find them a little too weak for clitoral stimulation. It would also be much more convenient if the vibrations were controlled via a remote. The general fit of the toy is probably one of the best I’ve found, and I appreciate how you are able to purchase the lingerie part separately. This toy makes a nice change from the usual offerings, and works well for couples.

Jopen Intensity

The Jopen Intensity is meant to be a revolutionary sex toy, where medical science and pleasure are combined. It’s designed to produce one of the most pleasurable orgasms achievable, while at the same time offering your pelvic floor muscles a shockingly good workout. The toy is a combination of a rabbit vibrator, with an inflatable shaft, and two electro-stimulus plates. This makes it very different to the standard rabbit vibrator or electro-stim sex toy; in fact, I don’t think I’ve come across any normal sex toy that is combined with electro-stimulation. Many people are intimidated by electro-stimulation devices, often associating them with torture and horror stories. The Intensity tries to scare away these presumptions, purely by adding electro-stimulation to one of the most popular sex toy concepts, and colouring it pink.

Having tried many rabbit style vibrators in the past, I was curious to see how well I got along with the Intensity. I find the shape and positioning of the clitoral stimulator on rabbit toys can be a bit hit and miss. Also, being experienced with electro-stimulus toys, I wondered how well the electro-stimulation would compare in strength and pleasure. I have to admit, I was excited at the prospect of trying the Intensity, even though it reminded me of a set of hair straighteners, rather than a pleasure object. The thing that got me most excited about the Intensity was the inflation function. For years I’ve wanted to try an inflatable toy but haven’t been able to, as they are generally made from materials containing latex; luckily for me the Intensity is made from silicone, and doesn’t contain any latex.

The Intensity arrives in a rather large outer box, with product information and images on it; within this is a nice purple shoebox-style box for storing the toy. Inside you will find the toy, shrink-wrapped in plastic, an instruction booklet, and a tube of electro-conductive gel, all resting in a velvet foam insert. After removing the shrink-wrap, fluff from the velvety insert immediately clung to the toy; it was almost like the rabbit had its very own fur coat. Since then less has moulted and become stuck onto the toy, but the silicone does have a knack of becoming dirty even when stored away.

The Intensity is very bulky in comparison to other sex toys. When first handling it, I had doubts as to how easy it would be to hold during use. The base unit is actually bigger than the insertable shaft, being 7 inches long, while the shaft is only 5 inches in length. The control unit consists of a manual pump, a valve button for deflating the device, an on/off button, and four additional buttons, two for controlling the strength of the vibrations, and two controlling the intensity of the electro-stimulation. The toy takes 4 AAA batteries, which are inserted into a screw-cap chamber in the control unit. The toy’s control unit is almost too big for me operate comfortably. During use, when holding the toy naturally, I am almost unable to reach either the vibration setting buttons, or the electro strength buttons, depending on which hand I’m using. Ok, I do have tiny hands, but I feel that the control panel does need to be slightly smaller. On mine, at the bottom of the control unit, the silicone coating hasn’t been attached properly, creating an air bubble that can be moved about, and feeling almost as if the toy has a blister in the base unit. Also, I feel that if the control unit was made from a different material, or had a different colour, then this would’ve given the toy a more pleasing aesthetic.

The clitoral stimulator rests about half an inch away from the main shaft, and can flex up to one and a half inches away. The clitoral stimulator is made up of three prongs rather than the standard two rabbit ears. It is also made from rather firm silicone, meaning that the prongs feel a little too rigid and pointy.

The shaft is inflatable, and ranges from 4.5 inches of girth, up to approximately 6 inches. Near the base of the shaft is a raised bump where the vibrator’s motor can be found, and towards the tip there are two electro-stimulus plates, aimed at stimulating the G-spot. When first inspecting the toy I noticed that some of the silicone around the metal plates was peeling away. This basically rubbed off, leaving a smoother finish, but I feel that for such an expensive device, this is simply not up to standard. The vibrations produced from the Intensity are relatively quiet, and the motors are reasonably smooth.

When using the Intensity, it’s recommended to insert it while the shaft is deflated and switched off. Prior to insertion you will want to apply the electro gel to the metal plates, as this will help make the electro-stimulation feel more pleasurable. I found that, due to the awkward shape of the shaft while deflated, additional water based lubrication was needed. Once inserted the toy felt a lot more comfortable than I expected, and the control unit didn’t seem as bulky as expected. I found that while inflating the toy my hand became slightly tired, due to the way I had to position my wrist. Once inflated, I enjoyed how the toy felt inside, offering a pleasant sensation of fullness. However, I found that the clitoral stimulator, while well positioned to stimulate my clitoris, felt far too uncomfortable, meaning I had to push the prongs off to the side while the toy was vibrating. The motor of the shaft stimulated my vaginal entrance only slightly, even when on its maximum setting. When turning on the electro-stimulation, I was surprised how I was able to feel the plates connecting with my G-spot. I was expecting them to miss my G-spot completely. I was able to use the Intensity’s electro-stimulation at maximum setting without feeling any discomfort, compared to using some other electro-stimulus toys. The electro pads were able to make my pelvic floor muscles spasm slightly, but not as much as I expected. The Intensity did eventually bring me to orgasm, but it wasn’t the most intense orgasm I’ve ever experienced. It was enjoyable, and pleasantly different to a standard vibrator, offering a relaxing yet mild G-spot orgasm without having to do much thrusting, but it didn’t live up to its moniker. Once finished with the toy, it is recommended you deflate the device before removing it. On occasion I found the shaft pinched my vaginal walls while doing this. When removing the toy, also remember to turn the electro-stimulator off, as it can sometimes cause discomfort similar to a static shock to your nether regions.

The Intensity is meant to work your kegels during use, and help improve you pelvic floor muscles, so much so that some people are apparently able to notice results instantly. Honestly, even after using this toy for a month, I personally haven’t noticed any change in my pelvic floor muscles. Immediately after use I’m able to detect my pelvic floor muscles a lot better, but I’m still unsure if this is due to the electro-stimulation, or because of how my body generally becomes more aware after orgasm.

Cleaning this toy isn’t as easy as some. The Intensity isn’t waterproof, and due to its inflatable shaft, dirt can easily become trapped on the shaft. When cleaning the toy I recommend you remove the batteries first, as you don’t want to accidentally activate the electro-stimulation. Also, it’s easiest to clean it while it’s inflated. Inflate the toy, and use your standard antibacterial wash and water. Due to the bulkiness of the toy it can be difficult to rinse in a small sink. Pay a little extra attention to the metal plates, as the electro gel is rather sticky. A damp cloth seems to work best for cleaning the control unit.

Overall, the Jopen Intensity is an alright toy, but I feel it still needs some work on it. To make it more enjoyable for myself, I’m probably going to remove or shorten the prongs on the clitoral stimulator. I feel that if the toy’s vibrations were stronger, and the electro-stimulator able to put out a bit more power, then it would produce the intense orgasms it lays claim to. I also feel that it needs to be less bulky, and that its general appearance and build quality needs improving, before it can be truly classed as a luxury sex toy. I did however really enjoy the inflatable shaft, and I wish more inflatable toys were made from silicone. Basically, if you are new to electro-stimulation, and enjoy softer vibrations, then the Intensity might be perfect for you. But, if you are looking for intense vibrations and electro-stimulation, you may find the Intensity lacking.

10-Function Pure Skin Bendies

This month I received the Pure Skin Bendie, from California Exotics, to review. This vibrator is a battery powered real-feel toy which has a flexible shaft. The vibrator has 10 functions and is able to remember the last setting you used when turning it back on after a break.

The Pure Skin Bendie arrives in a simple frosted plastic box. You are able to see the product through the packaging, and on the back is an instructional diagram showing the toy’s different properties. The toy is made from a body friendly material which is meant to imitate the textures found on a real penis. When opening the packaging I found the product covered in a fine powder; I suspect that this is cornstarch, which is often used on real-feel toys to maintain the material, as well as giving it a more realistic sensation. The real-feel material isn’t the best feeling material I’ve found. It is soft and smooth, but if I’m being honest I’ve found closer feeling materials on cheaper products. The toy is in the design of a penis and has a soft plushy glans at the tip of the toy, and subtle veins running down the shaft. The head is tapered, and looks a little disproportionate when compared to the glans found on a real penis. The toy is 9 inches in length, with 7.5 inches of insertable shaft. The shaft of the toy is approximately 5 inches in circumference round the tip, and bulges to about 5.5 inches towards the centre of the shaft. Inside the shaft the toy has a flexible spring, meaning that you are able to bend the toy to suit your body. This means you are more likely to find your G-spot with this toy than some others. The spring can bend to a 90 degree angle, meaning that you can insert up to 4.5 inches of the toy and use the lower end of the shaft to stimulate the vulva. The vibrator’s motor can be found near the tip of the toy, for maximum stimulation during insertion.

At the bottom of the toy you will find a battery cap which fans outwards, making it easy to grip during use. The battery cap has two buttons; one turns the toy on and controls the functions, and the other is the off button. The toy has 10 modes of various escalations and pulsations, and when turning the toy off it will remember the last setting you were using. The toy has a removable battery pack which takes three AAA batteries. The battery cap is waterproof. When the vibrator is turned on the battery cap will light up and flash, depending on the vibrator’s settings. I found that on some settings the toy would make a high-pitched electrical noise, similar to an arcade gun. The vibrator isn’t overly loud.

When using the toy I found that I needed additional lubrication prior to insertion, as the Pure-Skin material absorbs moisture. After bending the toy to the appropriate angle for my body, I found the glans hit my G-spot. However, I found the glans was far too soft to cause consistent and strong stimulation. Also, the thickness of the Pure-Skin dampened the strength of the vibrations, meaning that the toy was just too weak to bring me to orgasm. I found that when additional clitoral stimulation was used, I was able to come close to orgasm, but the more my pelvic floor muscles spasmed, the more the toy became bent out of shape and missed my G-spot. The vein-like ridges found on the shaft of the toy didn’t produce much added stimulation, much to my disappointment.

When cleaning the Pure Skin Bendie, I found that it needed a little extra attention compared with most other toys. As it is waterproof I was able to use my standard antibacterial wash and water without any problems, but after washing the toy felt sticky. To solve the stickiness, apply a sprinkle of cornflour over the toy; this will also help keep the toy feeling realistically fleshy. The toy can become dirty quickly and the material seems to stain easily – I left it on some fabric overnight, and it formed a dark ring on the Pure-Skins surface. Because of this I highly recommend storing it in the box provided.

Overall, I’m not very keen on the Pure-Skin Bendie. I feel that there are better realistic style vibrators at cheaper prices. If the material felt smoother, the shaft was a bit firmer towards the glans, the vibrations were stronger, and the bendable shaft had a way to lock it in place, then this would be a good toy. I’m sure some people would get along with this toy better, and will enjoy the bendable shaft more.

Lia Teaser 1

This month I received the Lia Teaser 1, from California Exotics, to review. This vibrator is a battery powered silicone toy which is meant to offer strong vibrations while stimulating the G-spot. The Lia immediately struck me as a good shape for stimulating the G-spot, and with its claims of ‘Extreme Power’ I was looking forward to testing the Lia, and seeing if it would cause me to have a G-spot orgasm.

The Lia arrives in a clear plastic box, which has various bits of product information printed over it. Inside the box, Lia is held in place by a plastic tray. The packaging states that the toy is made from pure silicone, and is waterproof. It takes 2 AA batteries, which aren’t provided. The Lia is 9 inches in length with 6.5 inches of insertable shaft. The shaft of the toy is slightly curved, leading to a tapered rounded tip, aimed at stimulating the G-spot. The bulbous tip is a maximum of 4.5 inches in circumference; the main shaft varies from 3.5 inches to 4.25 inches of girth. Just below the rounded tip, the Lia’s shaft has a small amount of flexibility. On the front of the curved shaft, starting just under the tip, there are three ridges to offer additional stimulation. The shaft is made from smooth matte silicone which causes very little friction when rubbed against dry skin. At the bottom of the toy is a plastic battery cap, with a hole going through it next to the two control buttons. I’m uncertain as to why this toy has a hole going through the handle, as it isn’t big enough to fit a finger through for easy grip. At the front of the toy you will find the on/off button, and at the back of the toy, opposite the on/off button, is the function button. The toy has 10 vibration modes comprising of various continuous speeds, pulsations and escalations. As it has a separate on/off switch, this means you don’t have to circle through the modes to turn the toy off. Sadly the toy doesn’t remember the last mode you selected before turning the toy off, but I guess that’s often reserved for more luxurious toys.

When using the toy I found that I needed a small amount of additional water-based lubrication, as the matte silicone soaks up moisture. The tapered tip easily entered my vagina, followed by the first raised ridge. I found that it took a while to insert more of the toy, and was only able to insert just past the third ridge, which is approximately 4 inches along the shaft. This was perfect, as the rounded tip was nestled just behind my G-spot. I was a little surprised, as I was unable to feel much stimulation from the ridges, but was satisfied enough that the toy actually hit my G-spot and was very easy to control. Sadly, even though this toy claimed to offer extreme vibrations, I found them to be disappointingly weak, even when the batteries were brand new. Normally I would be really annoyed with an insertable toy being so weak, but not with the Lia. The Lia’s shape was enough to cause me to experience a strong G-spot orgasm fairly quickly. Though I found the vibrations to be weak, other people more sensitive to vibrations may find the motor in the Lia to be adequate. During use the toy is very quiet, and I doubt it could be heard from another room.

The Lia attracts dust easily, so you will want to store it in a suitable container while it’s not in use. As it is waterproof, the toy is very easy to clean in water and antibacterial solution.

Overall, I like the Lia as a G-spot toy, but feel that it falls short as a vibrator. The vibrations felt so weak to me, that I ended up using the Lia essentially as a dildo. It’s still a great toy if you are looking for a G-spot stimulator, as even without the added aid of vibrations the Lia is able to cause me to orgasm. I also like the Lia’s appearance; it almost has the look of a luxury toy, when it is actually at the cheaper end of the market. I feel that if the motor was more powerful, this would be a superb G-spot toy. Just be aware, that if purchasing this toy expecting a power-house, you may be disappointed. You will still get a good toy if your aim is a nice insertable, which is made from silicone, and that hits the G-spot. I feel the Lia would accommodate most people’s G-spots.

Minna Ola

When I first heard about the Minna Ola, and how it used touch sensitive technology to form vibrations, I was more than a little intrigued. The Ola sounded like the most interesting advanced vibrator I had heard of in a long time; this led me to think it would be one of the most complex vibrators to use. Sure, there are new innovative vibrators being produced all the time – so often I feel innovative is overused in sex toy reviews – but a lot of the time, these new products have extremely fiddly controls, which aren’t user friendly. I like to be able to pick-up a toy and be able to use it as soon as it arrives, no waiting for it to charge, no fussing with instructions, no having to educate your partner once you’ve vaguely gotten to grips with the toy yourself. The Minna Ola is ideal in every way, in that I didn’t experience any of these problems when it arrived. Once quickly acquainted with Ola, I was left very satisfied.

The Minna Ola arrives in a cylinder shaped box which has a very clean and modern appearance. The packaging is rather larger compared to the toy, but luckily Ola arrives with its own satin drawstring pouch. Inside the box you receive an instruction booklet, sticker, charger, silver pouch, and the toy itself with a quick start guide looped round its shaft. The Ola arrives fully charged, which is perfect, as I often find the excitement over a new toy can die down slightly while waiting for it to charge. The quick start guide is a small booklet, with instructional diagrams that are extremely easy to read, and within seconds I had mastered using the Ola’s controls.

The Ola’s main shaft has a classic shape with a gentle curve, with its jaunty angled handle giving it a funky modern feel. The toy is coated in a smooth matte silicone, which causes mild friction when rubbed against dry skin. There is a manufacturing seam running round the shaft of Ola, which may cause some irritation for those highly sensitive to textures. The vibrator is solid, apart from the touch sensitive pad, which is filled with air underneath the matte silicone coating. After a while the touch pad will begin to deflate; to re-inflate the pad, take the magnetic clip off the charger, and push the jack-pin into the air vent at the back of the pad. The toy is 8 inches in length with 5.5 inches of insertable shaft. The touch pad is 2.25 inches in length and can be inserted too, as Ola is completely waterproof. However, as there is a vent hole at the back of the pad which can trap dirt, I would recommend using a condom if you intend to use it like this. The maximum circumference is 4.25 inches. On the main shaft there are three magnetic pins for the charger to clip onto - these don’t seem to cause any discomfort while using the toy. There are two buttons located on the back of the touch pad, above the vent hole, where the shaft curves.

Controlling the Ola with its two buttons and pressure pad is surprisingly simple. The on/off button is a raised circle, and the other button is the mode select, which is a raised ring. There are 3 modes, which the instructions refer to as Vibration Creation, Loop, and Lock. At the base of the toy is the touch sensitive pad, which will create vibrations in correspondence to the pressure you apply. To get started, simply hold down the circular button for a few seconds. As the toy switches on, you will notice it vibrate; this is to indicate how much charge the Ola has left. Three pulsations means that the Ola is at full power, two pulsations is equal to half power, and one means Ola is low on power, and you should consider recharging the toy soon. Ola appears to keep charge better than many other vibrators.

Once on, you can start experimenting with the touch pad. When using the touch pad, you are really able to feel the difference in vibrations when pressure is applied. Light pressure, such as stroking the touch pad, causes the vibrator to softly rumble. Firmer pressure, such as clenching the pad in your fist, will cause the toy to produce high strength vibrations – the Ola is very powerful when you want it to be. Holding down the pad will cause the Ola to produce a continuous vibration. Altering the pressure will vary the vibrations, to produce your desired pulsations. This first mode allows for some very spontaneous play.

After you have gotten to grips with using the Ola, which I assure you won’t take long, you can start recording your creations. Press the raised ring button, which will start flashing red. When this button is pressed once, it will play back any patterns you create, after a short pause. You are able to alter the vibrations at any time by simply squeezing the pressure pad again. Clicking the ring-like button again will save your creation. This button will now emit a continuous red glow, indicating Ola is in playback mode. Ola will play back your vibration pattern in a loop, and touching the pressure pad will have no effect. This means that once you’ve settled on a satisfying combination, you can switch to playback and thus avoid accidentally undoing your creation in the heat of the moment.

You can use the Ola main shaft two ways, either having the curved tip pointing towards the front of the vaginal wall, or inserting the curve the opposite way. When using the Ola I found that I needed a little foreplay prior to insertion, as the tip isn’t overly tapered. The silicone does soak up moisture, so you may want to use additional lubrication. When using the Ola with the tip facing the front of my body I found that it would occasionally stimulate my G-spot, but the shape and length of the toy was better at stimulating my A-spot. When using the toy with the back of the curved shaft facing the front, I found the toy stimulated my G-spot better, but wasn’t able to apply enough pressure to induce orgasm. Though the Ola wasn’t quite the correct shape for my G-spot, being able to control the vibrations was enough to arouse me, and it felt immensely pleasurable. When using the toy in the first mode, I enjoyed how as I got closer to climax, my hand would naturally grip the touch pad harder and more frantically, and as climax calmed, my hand would quiver and softly come to a halt, make the vibrations feel as if they belonged inside my body as a natural part of arousal. When programming the settings I liked how I didn’t have to scan through any pre-programmed settings, and could instantly set it to the pattern I desired, depending on my mood and how quickly I wished to reach orgasm. I was in complete control of how strong and fast the pulsations were. I did find a slight problem when recording with the toy; sometimes I would accidentally double press the mode button, meaning that I would record less than anticipated. However, this didn’t happen often. Even when the Ola becomes covered in lubrication, the touch pad is still easy to use.

You are able to insert the touch pad, but as there is a vent hole at the back of the pad I would recommend using a condom, as it would be difficult to clean properly. Inserting the toy this way was a bit trickier, but once inserted it did hit my G-spot. It was fun being able to clench the soft jelly-like touch pad with my kegel muscles, but as the vibrations are focused at the tip of the opposite end, I didn’t feel much benefit from being able to manipulate the vibrations.

The Ola works well as a clitoral stimulator, which surprised me considering the shape of its tip. Again, I like how much I was able to control the toy, as sometimes I want very powerful clitoral stimulation and other times I want soft and mild stimulation.

When inserting the main shaft of the Ola, because the base with the touch pad is flared and sharply curved, you could use the Ola for anal insertion. I would recommend placing a condom over the toy for anal use.

The Ola is a great couple’s sex toy. Basically, I handed the toy over to my partner to play around with, and quickly explained how it worked, and within seconds he had successfully managed to record his own vibration patterns.

Cleaning the Ola is simple. Unlike some silicones the Ola doesn’t attract too much dust. When not in use you can store it in the pouch provided. The Ola is waterproof, so it can be washed easily; just pay a little extra attention to where the air vent is located, at the back of the touch pad.

When recharging Ola, the toy’s power button LED will pulsate. To indicate when it is fully recharged, both the power and memory buttons will pulsate slowly.

Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed with the Minna Ola. It’s probably one of the best vibrators I own, as it’s not only unique, but it’s also fairly powerful when desired, and is well made. I really love how easy the Ola is to use – it makes it one of the most enjoyable toys I’ve ever tried.

Tantus Compact

The Tantus Compact is the smallest dildo I have in my collection. The Compact is intended to be used as a warm-up dildo, and can be used for G-spot or P-spot stimulation. The toy is ideal for those new to sextoys, particularly if you intend to use the toy for anal insertion. I was intrigued to find out how good the Compact would be at stimulating my G-spot. I also wondered how well the toy’s shape and size would work during anal insertion – thanks to the toy being made from platinum silicone, it is easy to sterilise between each use. Normally I would opt for girthier toys, but girth isn’t everything when it comes to satisfaction, and the Compact seems to prove this.

The Compact arrives in a clear box, which is the standard Tantus packaging. The box states that the toy is made from ultra-premium silicone, which can be sterilised, bleached, or even put through the dishwasher. The toy is resting in a plastic clamshell, which is easily removed from the outer box. The toy is a lot thinner than I had expected, with 3 inch girth in the main shaft, and a maximum of 3.5 inches girth round the bulbous tip. The dildo is of similar thickness to a couple of fingers, but approximately double the length. The shaft is curved quite a bit compared to some toys. The silicone is very flexible, and can be bent completely in half, without getting damaged. The tip of the toy has a bulbous tip which resembles the glans found on a penis. Below the tip you will find three ripple-like bumps. At the bottom of the toy there is a flared base, meaning that it is harness compatible. Between the flared base and the shaft there is a groove; this means that when the toy is held horizontally, the shaft will wiggle around a lot more than other harness compatible toys. Personally, I feel that this toy is too flexible to use with a harness effectively, as it will move and bend too freely during thrusting. Also, there aren’t many harnesses with O-rings small enough to accommodate this toy.

When using the toy for vaginal insertion I found that, due to the size of its shaft, no additional lubrication was needed and also very little foreplay. The toy did stimulate my G-spot, but due to its flexibility and not being very weighty, it wasn’t very good at creating consistent enough pressure to produce a G-spot orgasm. If you have a very sensitive G-spot, and prefer thinner girth toys, the compact might work to cause you to orgasm, but for me it works best as a good warm-up toy. During use, I was able to feel the ripple-like textures lower down on the shaft. I really wasn’t expecting to be able to feel the textures on the shaft, due to its petite size, but the Compact pleasantly surprised me.

During anal stimulation, I again found that only a small amount of lubricant was needed, but the flexibility of the toy made it difficult to insert. When accidentally using too much lubrication, this toy can become a little frustrating to insert and control. The toy felt natural once it was finally inserted, but I experienced a little discomfort every now and again from the first main ripple-like bump. The raised bumps aren’t that prominent, but for some reason the first bump after the bulbous tip felt uncomfortable, possibly due to its position rather than shape and size. Although the toy is smaller than some toys, and reminds me of a butt plug, it doesn’t stay in by itself.

Cleaning the toy is easy as it’s made from 100% platinum silicone, which is dishwasher safe, can be sterilized, bleached, boiled, or just cleaned with your standard antibacterial wash. The Compact doesn’t work well with a condom over it; it’s just far too small. The silicone can attract dust, so you’ll want to store it in a suitable container – the box provided is a little large.

Overall, even though the Compact is a good size for beginner anal users, or even seasoned anal users wanting a warm-up toy, because of its flexibility I’m not sure how well it would work when used with a strap-on. Also the textures may be a little too prominent for some users. The curved shaft and the rounded tip do stimulate my G-spot, and it works well as a warm-up G-spot toy. The size, weight, and flexibility of the toy, mean that it’s just not capable of causing me to orgasm. However, the Compact is still a very good warm-up toy.

Minnie The Minx

I’ve had a hard time recently... Normally, that isn’t something I’d admit to. To make up for it, I’ve wanted to post some awesome pictures, but I haven’t had much luck.
