Blowing Raspberries- Blue Raspberry Flavoured Sliquid Swirl

I recently purchased the blue raspberry flavoured lubricant from the Sliquid Swirl range. When purchasing this I did wonder whether the lubricant was actual blue raspberry flavour or a mixture of blueberries and raspberries; it doesn’t seem to say within the product description. When the product arrived I was so excited to try this flavour I forgot to read the ingredients and decided to perform a taste test. Straight away I could distinguish the taste of blueberries with a hint of fresh raspberries; this had answered my question and once the ingredients were checked it confirmed that this lubricant is a mixture of blueberry and raspberry flavours. This lubricant already seemed great, in the past a simple taste test of a lube could end with it being thrown into the bin.

I later decided to introduce the lubricant to my partner. When travelling to my partners the lubricant didn’t leak even though the protective foil seal had been removed. I felt that it was only fair to let my partner try the lubricant before using it during oral stimulation, everyone’s tastes buds are different and even though I thought the lubricant tasted great it didn’t mean he would enjoy it. Lucky my partner enjoyed the flavour of the lubricant; he reminisced about the blue panda pop drink. To me the lubricant tastes similar to blueberry Ribena. It has a more natural fruit flavour than other lubricants; the blueberry taste left a slight dryness on my palette similar to when one eats a punnet of blueberries.

During oral sex both I and my partner had different experiences. When my partner applied the lubricant to my genitals he found it blended well with my natural moistures. He also found that only a small amount was needed and that only after a good 20mintues did the fruitiness dissipated leaving him with a satisfyingly soft sweet taste. When applied to my partner during fellatio I found that I needed to use more than he had used on my body. This might be because the penis doesn’t really have the same natural moistures my body has to blend with the lubricant. I was still able to enjoy the flavour of the lubricant without it being too overpowering and taking away the flavours of my partners flesh.

Even though the lubricant is thinner in consistency than other lubricants it is the right slipperiness for oral sex. If you prefer your lubricants to be of thicker consistency Sliquid swirl not only blends perfectly into natural moistures, but other lubricants too.  The lubricant is absorbed into the skin gently and didn’t leave any form of tackiness. Also unlike some other lubricants Swirl didn’t leave a rash or upset my ph balance. Swirl left only a slight mark on fabrics and was easy to clean off.

Scent wise this lubricant smells perfect. It isn’t too over powering like others and it isn’t the same as some flavoured lubricants that are ‘all scent and no taste’.  The blue raspberry flavour smells fresh and delicious just enough for you to appreciate it before your lips touch your partner.

Not only am I delighted about my experiences with the blue raspberry flavoured Sliquid Swirl, I was also pleased to find a diabetic , skin safe, and vegetarian friendly lubricant. I also was pleased that all this information was easily available without me having to do long winded searches or contacting customer services. Sliquid provided all the information I needed before hand, this product is vegan friendly, sugar free, and paraben free. I applaud Sliquid for managing to make this ultra friendly lubricant. The aspartame content is also very small compared to other lubricants that over compensate with sweetener; furthermore it is only slightly noticeable within the taste.

Overall, this lubricant is perfect. Don’t be put off by the price it will last a lot longer than those sugary tacky alternatives. Blue raspberry Swirl is truly a scrumptious tasting lubricant.

The Berry Basket- Sliquid Berry Flavoured Lubes

I recently purchased three of the Sliquid Swirl flavouredlubricants: Strawberry & Pomegranate, Blue Raspberry, and Cherry Vanilla. In the past I have experienced problems with other flavoured lubricants for the following reasons:

  •  With my partner being diabetic sometimes we would have to avoid certain lubricants due to the glycerine contents.
  • I have highly sensitive skin and found some favoured lubricants to cause rashes.
  • Being a strict vegetarian I had to avoid some lubricants, particularly tropical flavours where the fruit flavouring had been filtered through fish gelatine or similar.

Sliquid had already won me over before the lubricants arrived at my door. This is because they clearly answered all my problems without me having to perform in-depth searches beforehand. The Sliquid swirl range is all vegan friendly, glycerine free, and is paraben free.  These lubricants seemed perfect, and I was over the moon that both my partner and I could finally try a flavoured lubricant without worrying.

The three Sliquid Swirl lubricants I purchased all have a similar consistency. They are at the thinner end of lubricant scale, and do feel rather slippery when applied to skin. Even though they are thinner than some lubricants they still seem to stay put once applied, and are easily blended with natural moister. If you want to make these lubricants thicker you can easily mix them with other lubricants. I also found that even though the aspartame content is minimal, it is still ever so slightly noticeable in these lubricants. It isn’t as bad as a sugary syrup taste left by some, or as bad as others lubes that over compensate with going overboard with sweetener to make up the lack of sugar. Also all the lubricants were gently absorbed into the skin, without leaving any tackiness.

All the bottles are sealed with a piece of foil coated plastic; this not only keeps the lubricant fresh but reassures you that your product hasn’t been tampered with.  I did experience a little trouble when removing the protective seal on each bottle.

Both my partner and I have tried each lubricant out orally. When the lubricants were applied to my genitals, my partner found that the flavours did not take away my natural taste. He also found that only a small amount was needed and that it easily maintained the flavouring from the lubricant. He did find that over long periods of time the lubricant flavour would fade slight and leave a soft sweet taste within his mouth. When I applied the lubricants to my partner I found that more was needed during fellatio, this might be because the penis doesn’t really have natural lubricant to blend with the lube. I did find the taste pleasant and was still able to distinguish the flavours of my partners flesh between the Swirl lubricants.

The scents of the lubricants are all satisfying. Not too overpowering; strong enough for you to appreciate the flavour before you make contact with your lips.

The Cherry Vanilla flavour from our experience tastes better than other cherry lubricants we have tried. The Cherry isn’t sweetly over powering and has a slight bitterness; the bitterness is softly taken away by the vanilla. When the flavour starts to fade you are left with more of the vanilla flavour in your mouth, the cherry mostly dissipates. To me the combination of the cherry and vanilla oddly reminds me of amaretto, I have no idea why because this lubricant doesn’t seem to contain almonds.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamapsis (Guar Conditioners), Cherry & Vanilla Flavouring, Aspartame, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

Strawberry & pomegranate flavour, we were both excited to try this flavour as pomegranate is one of our favourite fruits.  This lubricant mostly tastes of strawberries; there is only a slight watery pomegranate flavour. The strawberry flavouring tastes similar to strawberries that have been freshly picked at the right time of the year. Similar to those big fat strawberries you bite into and find a softly sweet centre. Even though the pomegranate flavour isn’t as powerful as we would have hoped we still liked this lubricant.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamapsis (Guar Conditioners), Strawberry & Pomegranate Flavouring, Aspartame, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

The Blue Raspberry flavour reminds me of blueberries with a hint of raspberry juiciness. This one reminds me of the blue Panda Pop, and blueberry flavoured Ribena. There is a slight natural fruit flavour to it. This one has to be our favourite as it doesn’t have the same overpowering element the other two seemed to have.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamapsis (Guar Conditioners), Blueberry & Raspberry Flavouring, Aspartame, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

Overall, these lubricants are great especially when compared to other flavoured lubes on the market. They are just the right consistency, flavour, and fragrance. I know I defiantly will be purchasing another of the blue raspberry bottles in the future, though I don’t expect this to be soon as these bottles do appear to last ages. Even though there are larger and cheaper bottles of flavoured lubricant available, I feel that these bottles of Sliquid will last longer as you need to use less. They are really worth the price, and although there are cheaper alternatives I feel you can’t go wrong with Sliquid.

Anais Light Up Stappy Chiffon G-String

Now you may find it hard to believe but this is a g-string. This g-string is by Anais. It has no gusset and is essentially pieces of ruffed elasticised ribbon sewn in a way that once worn frames your buttocks.

The g-string comes in a small gift box. There are two pictures of the model showing both front and back views of the product; you might need to refer to these pictures when putting the g-string on. On the back you will find a size guide. The hip and waist measurements are:

You will find a small cardboard tag fixed onto the string that will need removing with scissors. There is also a soft fabric label that can easily be picked away from the garment without causing damage. This item is hand wash only and due to the nature of the white fabric I believe it may stain easily.

Before wearing the garment I did have to untangle it first, I was also a little unsure on where to start. There are so many gaps that getting the right ones to slide your legs through can be tricky. This is where the photos on the gift box become useful. Once on I was surprised with how comfortable the garment felt. Unlike some thongs and g-strings this item is almost unnoticeable. The elastic didn’t rub or dig in. I was worried that it would dig into my flesh unattractively; instead it sat softly ruffled on my body framing the right areas.  I think this is partly due to the elastic being seam free. The two bows are made from delicately soft satins and I almost wish you could un-tie the back bow, though I understand that it would be a pain trying to put the garment back together.

I’ve now worn this g-string several times. When worn in the bedrooms I was pleased with the reaction I got. I feel that this little string has the right combination of innocence and impishness, while being surprisingly comfortable.

Doc Johnson Alumination Vibrator

I purchased the Doc Johnson Alumination vibrator as I had never experienced using an insertable metal toy that vibrates. In the past I have tried other metal toys ranging from dildos to bullets. I wanted to see how the Aluminations vibrations travelled, and whether or not I would feel the full benefits while inserted, as well as how this toy differed from a bullet.

The Alumination comes in a frosted plastic box with floral print. This packaging is more luxurious than the standard type Doc Johnson use. Inside the box you will find the vibrator secure on a plastic rest. The vibrator I received is gold, I personally feel it looks more of a copper orange and reminds me of copper piping. The body of the vibrator is in three sections, at the top you will find the aluminium coated in what feels like a plastic sheen, the centre of the body is smoothly cooling aluminium, and at the base you will find the battery cap with a soft plastic touch button. There were a few markings on the body of the vibrator, but not bad enough to cause discomfort. Not only is this toy made from aluminium, it is phthalate free.

To use the vibrator all you need is two AAA batteries. Unscrew the battery cap and pop them in plus side first. Make sure you don’t take out the piece of plastic with the battery image on; otherwise the vibrator might not work. After screwing the cap back on you just need to click the circular button. Now for some reason my vibrator takes two clicks to turn on every time, I’m unsure to whether this is a fault or a manufacturing feature (similar to a travel lock?). There are three intensity settings, all of which feel pretty strong throughout the whole body of the vibrator. The first setting is fairly silent and stronger than some bullets, the second intensity is still fairly quiet compared to some vibrators and feels double the strength of the first, the third is moderately noisy and can make your fingers feel tingly when holding. The coated top of the vibrator seems to actually block some of the vibrations compared to what can be felt through the aluminium body and cap.

During use the vibrator can be used for vaginal penetrative play or clitoral stimulation. When used for penetration I was surpised with how noticeable the vibrator was compared to plastic vibrators of similar size. This is probably due to the weight of the vibrator. Now aluminium isn’t overly heavy, when compared to some plastic vibrators of a similar size this is a little weightily.  The sensations produced as the aluminium warms to your body temperature are enjoyable. I found that when the toy is inserted it is pleasurable because of the material and vibrations, but it did not excite me as much as a shapelier vibrator. When used as a clitoral vibrator I found that the tip was too wide and that it was difficult to experience direct stimulation. I found that the slit separating the glossed tip and the main aluminium body, would cause mild discomfort occasionally.

It would be a good toy for couples and general foreplay especially if you want to experiment with temperature play. You can put this toy in the freezer; it is advisable to remove the batteries first. If you are looking for warmer temperature play you can run this toy under warm water for a few minutes - do not microwave this toy.

Cleaning the toy is very simple as it is waterproof. I did have some concern about the gap around the tip catching dirt; just remember to give this area extra attention when cleaning.

Overall, I have found this vibrator to be fairly pleasant. I really like the way you can experiment with temperature play and underwater play. Personally I would have like the toy to not have the glossy top section, though I’m sure others won’t mind this.  It is still a great little vibrator if you prefer your toys to be slender, or are looking for something bigger than the standard bullet.

"Poem of the Pillow", Shunga art book

“Poem of the Pillow and other stories by Utamaro, Hokusai, Kunlyoshi and other artists of the Floating world” is a book by Gian Carlo Calza. This book consists of 384pages mostly of Shunga Erotic art (images of spring). The book has been put together beautifully and is in hardback. There is a small removable outer cover made from handmade opaque paper with the blurb and title printed in bronze, this outer cover is held in place by a clear plastic book protector.

Shunga art is a form of Japanese drawings and prints that became popular within the Edo period. As some of you already know I adore most things Japanese, and I especially enjoy learning and reading about the history behind the Edo period in particular. Shunga art is still popular in modern Japanese society and it has slowly worked its way into western cultures.  Shunga art is very different to western nude art. It use to be used as a form of self-help guide to new brides, advertising and climbing the social tower, and was also used as good luck charms by travelling samurai.

The author starts the book with a small guide to how to understand the pictures, pronunciation, and when certain history periods happened within Japan. Page’s 7-9 acts as an introduction into the way how shunga should be perceived, how it changed as society advanced, and how traditional prints were made.

The rest of the book is split into sections of arists and or types of art forms from certain periods. There is a small amount of written information regarding the authors and styles of art.  You will also find a little text regarding certain pictures within these sections. I found these very helpful in helping me understand what the picture is meant to mean, and why the picture was created.

Here are a few of the more interesting pictures found within the book:

'Erotic Painting' by Nishikawa Sukenobu, c.1725. In this picture a woman was caught sleeping with another man, while her husband sees it as a great opportunity to join in.... his wife has very different ideas and pushes him away.

Clean Copy of Female Beauty (Fumi no kiyogaki), 1801. This is a picture of a prostitute masturbating with a pestle, while a client watched.

Another scene from ‘Clean Copy of Female Body'. This is a picture of two women using a strap-on dildo. Apparently the shell within one of their hands contains lubricant.

Pining for Love (Kinoe no Komatsu), 1814. This is one of the most well known pictures regarding shokushu goukan (tentacle rape/ erotica).

This picture is part of a story (Mirror of the Vagina, c.1823), where a couple make love one night and the woman turns into a skeleton, they both commit suicide after the experience.

And here are my personal favourites:

I like this one because the couple seem very comfortable with each other. Also I’ve been known to read while having sex.

Poem of the Pillow (Utamakura), 1788.
I found this one very beautiful and strangely relaxing to look at.

Overall, this is a very beautiful collect of Shunga style erotica. Even though there isn’t much written information in this book there is enough that you are able to get a general understanding of Shunga art. It’s also very interesting to see how sex positions and sex toys developed over 1568-1868. I have to admit that even though the pictures are erotic I don’t find them sexually stimulating. Some of the pictures are almost painful to look at due to how oversized the penis’s are drawn.

Cock, load, fire - Toy gun garter

I purchased this garter to go with a gangster style outfit. As it was only £3.49 I felt that I had nothing to lose.

The product comes in a clear cellophane bag, with a cardboard insert showing a picture of a model wearing the product. The product is made from strong black elastic, with ruffled lace topped with a ruffed satin ribbon. Both the elastic and lace feel rough. I feel that this garter is best suited over thick stockings or hosieries if intended to be worn for a long time.

The gun holster has been riveted through the layers of fabric securely; I doubt it would fall off easily. The Holster is made from soft faux leather. There is a popper fastening at the top of the holster to make sure the gun doesn’t fall out.  The gun I received with my holster is very different to the one pictured. Rather than a revolving cylinder pistol I received an automatic style pistol. For me this is great because it fitted more with the gangster genre. If you are hoping to pull off a Wild West look and are purchasing this product for the style of toy gun, just be aware it may not be the one pictured. The gun itself is very small, around 2 inches by 1.5 inches. It’s made from light weight hollow metal.  Both the cock and trigger of the pistol move. This makes it a factional mini toy cap gun. For those of you who don’t know, cap guns are toy guns. You place a cap in them and when you fire they make a loud bang. Just pull the cock, load the ‘barrel’, and push the trigger. If you want to use it as a cap gun, you can buy caps from some toy stores. I would still advise taking care when using caps, especially if you are using this toy in the bedroom. Just remember to keep your distance. Sadly after a few uses the trigger system in my toy gun jammed.

When wearing the garment I was surprised to find that it didn’t dig in. Some garters dig into the leg leaving an unattractive bulge. Also even though the elastic seems cheap it managed to support the weight of the gun without falling down. The measurements of the garter when un-stretched are approximately 11 inches circumference.  When stretched to full limitations it measures around 20 inches circumference.

There are no washing instructions for the product. Due to the faux leather holster being riveted, I suggest hand washing this garment. Don’t forget to remove the toy gun before washing as you don’t want to ruin the whole gimmick.

Overall, for the price of this garter I think it’s a good buy. You can easily wear it on a night out, or wear it in the bedroom to help accompany role-play.

You can purchase this garter here: Hen Night HQ
