Oh why do I have to suffer from a latex allergy?

Today has been rather frustrating; I know I must constantly seem frustrated. I spent the morning happily writing reviews for products, I’ll post them here once they are live. Suddenly there was a knock at my door; I knew instantly that it was the postman. For those of you who don’t know my postman even knocks at my door to hand me letter so I wasn’t expecting much. Well amongst various parcels and letters I found a nice little surprise waiting for me from one of my lovers. I eagerly opened it and wondered what it could be; all I knew was that it was from Lovehoney. Well it was only a small toy but there was very little information on the product packaging. After doing a quick search I was disappointed to find that the product contained latex. I suffer from a latex allergy, whether it is found in toys, plasters, and clothing it can’t go anywhere near me. I actually get rather down about it when I see how many toys I could try and what beautiful clothing I could wear. But a latex dress to me would be a coffin. Now I’m wondering how to tell him. I feel slightly bad as when it arrived I instantly said I liked it, and I did/ do. I liked the look of the toy, and I liked how I received a gift; it wasn’t till after finding out it contained latex I started to dislike it. I’m very worried that I will seem ungrateful when I inform him of the problem. He’s rather down today so I’m going to give it a few days before letting him know, this is where Lovehoneys 365 day return policy becomes very handy.

The post I received wasn’t all bad. Yesterday I decided to treat myself to some Sliquid flavoured lubricants. These are something I’ve wanted to try for ages but couldn’t justify the price. They are currently on offer at Lovehoney: Buy Three for £15. I hope they do this offer again as I was only able to get three flavours out of the available six. I’ve done a quick taste test of them and also asked my partner to try a little quickly; so far they seem great compared to other flavoured lubricants. I’ll write more about them when I’ve tested them more. I also treated myself to a very stunning burlesque style skirt from Leg Avenue, now I just need to save up for a new corset to go with it. I have a lot of corsets but none of them are the right red.

Later on in the day I went to the pharmacy to pick up a few things and over heard a group of girls aged 16/17 years. They originally started talking about pedicures and somehow instantly went onto contraception. This is basically how their conversation flowed: ’Coil, no what’s a coil?’ One girl said. Another replied ‘Isn’t that something that goes in your arm to stop you from getting pregnant?’ All the girls laughed as one blurted out, ‘no it’s what they stick up your fanny’. ‘What goes in your arm?’ they all questioned. In the ended they all concluded that the coil could be put in both the arm and fanny. Please note, that fanny was their choice of word, not mine. Now what gets me about this situation was I feel that at their age they should have known. I guess sex education isn’t as good as it could be. There was something else that bugged me about the conversation, they were in a pharmacy where they had consultants that were on hand. I feel that one of the consultants should have corrected them, but they just stood there listening. In the end I had to correct them, which again felt awkward.

After this I visited my partner. I needed to use his computer while I was there as currently I don’t own a printer and scanner. Well I was printing off and scanning some sex related articles that I needed to make notes for. This would have been fine but the scanner wasn’t plugged in and my partner wasn’t very happy having to go round the back of the desk to sort it out. Yes it’s dusty and cramped, but I feel he could have been a little less angry about it. Due to this I still haven’t had sex. I even took the Sliquid lubricant with me and he was only willing to taste test it from a finger; not the place I was hoping. Anyway after cooking him a meal I had to return home to finish some errands but I stupidly left some of the sex related articles in his scanner. He’s currently out at work and is hoping no one wants to use the scanner, he lives in shared accommodation.

Anyway I’m going to figure out what to say to my lover regarding the latex toy, so wish me luck it goes well.

I was going to link the Sliquid offer but it has ended.

A Blooming Good Orgasm

Today I’ve felt rather down, so I decided to surround myself with some of the luxuries I own. Among them was this little finger vibrator. Now I know it’s not the most expensive vibrator and wouldn’t be classed as a high end toy due to the quality it’s motor, but I still class it as a luxury. It’s been beautifully sculpted out of some of the smoothest medical grade silicones, when touched it reminds me of how the Lelo toys feel.  There’s something about the floral pattern that makes me feel divinely feminine, and when used it always makes my cheeks radiantly glow.

Something was 'Bugging' me about Spider bed restraints

Now first of all I would like to state I do not own this product, but found something within a 1950s fetish book which was bugging me.

To me the spider web bondage restraints look amazing. I love the idea of being able to entwine your partner’s legs and arms into different parts of the webs. Not only will you be able to secure your partner easily to a bed, I feel the webbing could act as position enhancer.

Within an old fetish book I found this picture and now I just can’t stop relating it to the spider web restraint system. Even though a little creepy, maybe the person who designed the web system saw this image.

I’m currently unsure if I should purchase this product. The arachnid phobic me screams no, but the sexually dominating me screams yes.

How the internet controls my sex life.

As I sit here and write this piece, I’m staring at a computer screen, typing on a QWERTY keyboard, sitting on a computer chair... I’ve only just realised that this is very ironic; to vent about my sex and computer related woes I am using one of these confounded contraptions that seem to be controlling my sex life.

I now haven’t had sex in over a week, I’ve lost count. Is there any reason for me to count the days of my suffering when I have no clue when the torture will end? My partner currently is addicted to online gaming which seems to be more import time wise than sex. I’ve even set up a membership so I can spend time with him virtually, but this still isn’t the same. All it does is eats away at my nonexistent money, bores me, and I’m certain I’m getting repetitive strain syndrome from mouse clicking and excessive masturbation. I have also now found out he has a year’s membership....

Not only does the internet control my lack of sex with partner, it also controls my sex life with my lovers. The internet unfortunately is a key form of communication. OH how I wish for the days of the handwritten love letter, but alas these have mostly ended. The last love letter I received was in times new roman. Both my current lovers live far away from me; I see them rarely so the internet is essential for communication. It’s frustrating that everything has to be written or done over a camera; the phone is rarely used due to its cost. It doesn’t help; I need the pleasures of the flesh, the touch, warmth, and smell. I had the chance to visit one of my lovers this week but as he purchased me a gift last week I have to stay at home waiting for it to arrive. I’ve been informed the next time I will see him is in 7weeks. I am able to see my other lover on Friday, though this will be for a shopping trip rather than sex. We might find somewhere to have sex but it partly depends on how busy the place is.

As well as the internet controlling my sex life with partners it does control my solo sessions too. I purchase my sex toys, lingerie, sex related books, online. This normally wouldn’t be a bad thing, but due to the lack of money I am unable to buy myself anything new for some time. I feel a new toy might tide me over for a few weeks. I will have to work out my finances, which again is done through the internet. Sex toys over food? It’s becoming very tempting....

Glass Excavation

I’ve been meaning to write about glass toys for a while now; in all honesty I had hoped that my collection would’ve grown slightly before writing this piece. With summer upon us I have been eagerly searching for the best methods to help make the hopefully forthcoming scalding weather bearable. My first instinct was to dive into the freezer chest to see what delightful treasures it would hold. An ice-lolly, hmm great for those who have sweet teeth but definitely not for those with autoeroticism in mind... ice cubes, a little too small and slippery.... chips, as well as being greasy and pointy really aren’t long enough... eureka! A glass dildo was found underneath all the unsatisfying food products.

Now some of you may be thinking: isn’t glass just as unsafe in its own way as any of those other items within the freezer? Won’t the glass break? I thought glass items such as bottles shattered in a freezer? On the contrary, glass sex toys are very different to standard glass objects. Glass sex toys are made from borosilicate which some of you may recognize as Pyrex. Most people nowadays will have have came across items made from borosilicate, whether it is within the kitchen, or through a profession such as medicine where glass is used to make certain lab devices. This is one hard wearing material which won’t shatter or chip easily. I’m that confident in my glass toys that I am happy to travel with them, without worrying overly much about wrapping them up in bubble wrap.

Anyway in the past few months I have purchased three new glass toys after rediscovering the one’s tucked at the back of the freezer:

Glassvibrations Textured Devil Tongue Glass Dildo: I’m very pleased with this toy; in all honesty it is probably my favorite dildo. The contour is perfect for hitting the g-spot, and the ridges are great during general massage. The pointy tip may put you off slightly but doesn’t cause any discomfort during insertion. If anything it helps the dildo glide smoothly from entrance to climax. The handle is an added bonus, not only making it easy to grip during underwater activities, but I have also found that certain bullet vibrators are able to slot into it.... huzzah! you now have one amazing vibrator. My review for this can be found here:

Glassvibrations Silver Glass Penis Butt Plug: Now I haven’t written a review for this yet, but hopefully will do soon. Anyway the product details can be found here:
So far from my experience this butt plug is one of the best. I’ve had difficulty in finding a plug that would stay in, especially during vaginal penetration or g-spot orgasm; this has stayed in no matter what. I also find its appearance very cute and non-threatening. Where the urethral hole for a penis is, there is a little dip which is brilliant when putting a dollop of lube on the toy before insertion. It’s also very easy to clean when compared to the standard jelly or silicone toys I own. There was only one downside to this product; mine wasn’t properly silvered as there is an obvious dark marking on the glass, though these pieces are aesthetically individualistic.

Climax Kegels Glass Ben Wa Balls: I purchased these kegel balls not for exercise, but for the insertion of a cooled item in myself. These can be found here: These balls really don’t work for kegel exercises from my experience, but they work as an excellent internal icepack. They are also very small compared to standard kegel balls, so women who have experienced problems with similar toys being too large might find these more comfortable.
Unfortunately this is not as informative regarding products or facts as I would have liked. I’ve been doing a search regarding glass toy history, but there doesn’t seem to be much out there, even from manufacturers. There is more information regarding ceramic sex toys than glass, which is sad considering ceramic toys are harder to get hold of. In regards to ceramic sex toys there’s information from excavation in places such as Pompeii, Stone Age artefacts, and Victorian sex toy shops, whereas it seems glass toys basically started with Pyrex and pretty lampwork beads.

The three glass toys within the Pyrex jug can be found here:
