Toy with me Tuesday: Three Big O's

For this weeks Toy with me Tuesday entry I have taken a photo of my silver Crowned Jewels Chelsea vibrator on top of my Age of Reason silk Orgy scarf. Three big O's inspired my photo: Orgies, Orgasm, and Olympians. The toy is laid on a painted scarf depicting a scene of an orgy. Traditionally priestesses-courtesans used to be housed in beautiful temples, sprawling around gorgeous gardens while worshiping their Olympian Deity such as Aphrodite-Astarte, the Goddess for sexuality, fertility, and war. However, rather than worshiping Aphrodite, the women within this artwork seem to be worshiping Persephone through taking part in the festival know as Thesmophoria. Which is a festival where women celebrate their 'private customs'. These whores of Hades, look like they they are sporting their stadiums full potential.

Spartacus Bamboo Walking Stick Cane

The Spartacus Bamboo Walking Stick Cane can be used either as an impact device for BDSM play or as a general prop during role play – whether you want to play the finely dressed gentleman or a simple sheep herder. The cane can easily be passed off as a simple everyday walking stick. The cane is a lightweight and inflexible device, meaning that it doesn’t bend or warp during impact.

The cane arrived with only a tag wrapped around its shaft saying ‘Spartacus’. The tag is secured in place via an elastic band; you may wish to keep this elastic band handy, for reasons I’ll explain later. The cane is sold as being a minimum of 36 inches in length, and the one I received is slightly longer, measuring at 37.5 inches long. The top of the cane has been heat treated and manipulated to hook round. You will see visible scorch marks shadowing the underside of the crook, which also has the benefit of offering a splinter-free underside. The cane’s bottom has been finished with a metal tip; I’m uncertain as to what type of metal has been used but it is showing some signs of rusting. The metal tip is conical, and isn’t joined flush with the bamboo, meaning that it juts out leaving a sharp edge. The cane works well as a walking stick but is more suited for tall people – when using it as an actual walking stick I had to wear heels to comfortably swing it and strike the pavement. When the cane arrived the bamboo felt a little dry and had a few splits in the wood. This is where the elastic band comes in handy; place the elastic band tightly over the hook, and then either stand the tip of the cane in a small pot of water or rub a damp cloth over the toy’s surface. This will help prevent your cane from becoming too brittle and breaking. The only problem with this is that the coating on the bamboo will tarnish slightly.

During use the cane’s hook gave excellent control over my strikes. As the cane swooped through the air it produced a satisfying noise and upon impact it made a resonating thwack, echoed throughout the bamboo’s hollow tunnelling. The metal tip on the cane not being fitted flush limits the useable surface area of the cane. Normally when using similar impact devices, the main bite is from the tip of the toy hitting the submissive’s flesh. Instead I’ve had to focus the centre of the cane when impacting my lover’s body. It still offers excellent sensations, but they aren’t as intense as I want the cane to achieve, and the marks left are still strong but not the crimsoned welts I crave to see upon a lover’s body. This isn’t what you’d normally expect when using a cane, as canes are classed as one of the more extreme impact devices.

I believe the cane works best as a role play prop, and also as a sensory play device due to the noise of it swooping through the air in an intimidating manner, and its impact thud.

Remember to keep your cane in top condition by either soaking the tip in a small amount of water every few months, or using a damp cloth over its surface. Make sure to secure an elastic band around the crook of the toy, as whilst moistening the device can keep the wood in better condition, it also encourages the hook to straighten. The cane will stain with sweat and blood (depending on how brutally you use the device). When storing the cane keep it away from overly hot areas, such as near heaters, as this will dry the wood out and warp its shape.

Overall, the Spartacus Bamboo Cane is an ok impact device; I just wish the tip of the cane was joined to the bottom of the bamboo stick better. It leaves too much of a sharp edge, meaning that it’s best to avoid using the tip of the device for impact. As a role play device it’s excellent for the price.

Thank you to Voluptasse for sending me this impact device for my review. You can find out more about the Spartacus Walking Bamboo Cane here.

RO-G-Spot by Rocks-Off

The RO-G-Spot is a curved G-spot toy by Rocks-Off, based on their straight tapered tip RO-120mm bullet. This rigid G-spot toy is meant to offer pin-point pressure on your G-spot whilst emitting exceptionally strong vibrations directly at its tip. Being the perfect length for the average G-spot, the large adapted bullet should accommodate most women’s bodies whilst at the same time not offering too much or little shaft, which can make your toy cumbersome to control.

The toy arrives in a canvas textured box which matches the majority of the packaging used by Rocks Off. On the back on the box you will find a small amount of product information. The toy has 5 vibration modes, is waterproof, and is also handily supplied with two AAA batteries. The front of the box has a clear plastic window revealing the product inside. Above and below this window you will find the product’s name, brand name and logo, all printed in silver. The windowed lid hinges open, so you have easy access to the vibrator inside. The vibrator is resting on a moulded velvet-feel plastic rest, keeping the product secure during transit. Underneath the rest you will find a miniature Rocks Off catalogue.

The toy is 5.5 inches in length, with approximately 4.5 inches of this insertable, and is 3.5 inches in circumference.  Towards the head of the toy the shaft bends sharply, leading to a finely tapered tip. The tip has very little service area, but is slightly rounded and very smooth. The rigid shaft of the toy is coated in a velveteen PU plastic coating, which causes hardly any drag when rubbed against dry skin. On the shaft towards the base there is an oval groove containing the product’s engraved name and logo within – this is perfect for positioning a thumb over for extra grip when using the toy externally.

At the base of the product is a large screw battery cap, which also houses a single push button control. Inside the battery compartment you’ll find a piece of circular paper blocking the already inserted batteries from the connector. Remove this before screwing the battery cap back into place. When tightening the battery cap, make sure you align the two raised lines found on the battery cap and main shaft. The toy is waterproof and has a good quality seal running between the main shaft and battery cap.

The control button is made from a soft silicone and is rather large. To turn the toy on, simply click the button. There are five vibration modes; three continuous speeds, a pulsation mode, and an escalation mode. All the vibrations are pretty strong and the motor produces high quality smooth vibrations, which are buzzy in nature. The vibrations are mostly focused at the tip of the toy, but can be felt throughout its entirety. Press and hold the button to turn the toy off again.

When using the toy I found my body needed some foreplay and lubrication prior to insertion, due to how pointed and sharply angled the tip was. At first I dipped the tip inside my vaginal entrance, and slowly tried to curve it around towards my G-spot as I threaded it into my body. I eventually managed to slide the shaft inside me, and whilst doing so experienced some discomfort as it prodded into my cervix and the front of my vaginal wall sharply. Relaxing my pelvic floor muscles after the initial shock, I was able to position the tip of the toy over my G-spot. It took a short amount of time for my body to adjust to the pointed angle of the toy as I slowly used it in a thrusting motion. I found that the toy’s tip didn’t have enough surface area to cause a G-spot climax. When used this way it would occasionally miss my G-spot, especially when my pelvic floor muscles naturally clenched with excitement, leading the toy off course momentarily. When thrusting with the toy too deeply or shallowly the tip would cause discomfort. I changed my approach to using the toy, circling the tip over and round my G-spot instead. I found this motion produced more pleasant and intense enjoyment. However, the small amount of shaft left outside me made it difficult to grip the toy for very long when using this motion. I was unable to comfortably use the toy in a rocking motion due to the unnatural contour of the shaft – I generally find a rocking motion to be the best when engaging in powerful G-spot play. I was able to eventually climax with the toy used internally, but even with its fairly powerful vibrations, it took a lot longer than desired. Often whilst using this toy I needed additional external stimulation to achieve orgasm. When removing the toy I found that the angled tip would sometimes probe the front of my vaginal wall and hook internally around my vaginal orifice.

I found the toy worked a lot better externally than when used internally. The rigid pin-point tip was not only great at working out tight muscular knots, but it was excellent for clitoral stimulation. I actually prefer this toy over similar but completely straight shafted bullet vibrators. I’m able to tease my clitoris and vulva easier, without having to mess around with uncomfortable hand positions while gliding the tip over myself. Also the tip of this bullet is exceptionally smooth; this is excellent as any roughness or imperfections on a bullet can make the whole experience very unpleasurable. I was able to glide the toy over my clitoris comfortably with very little additional lubrication, rapidly producing an orgasm.

When cleaning the toy remember to pay a little extra attention around the engraved logo and product name, as dirt can reside here. Other than that, simply wash in water with your standard antibacterial cleaner.

Overall, the RO-G-Spot vibrator by Rocks Off didn’t really work for its intended function. Not only did I experience some discomfort when using it internally, but I feel the tip needs to be wider to ensure G-spot arousal. This doesn’t mean that the toy might not work for you, as every woman’s anatomy is slightly different, but I would recommend using lubricant and plenty of foreplay prior to insertion. However, I found the toy an excellent clitoral stimulator, and liked the way I was able to easily apply the tip to my clitoris without having to fumble around awkwardly. A wonderful bullet, but not for the reason it’s supposed to be.

Thank you to Bondara for sending me this item for my review. You can purchase the RO-G-Spot vibrator from here.

Tantric Binding Love Hog-Tie

The Tantric Binding Love Hog-Tie restraints by California Exotics are a set of elasticised wrist and ankle cuffs linked together with a four way clip system. The Tantric Binding Love range of bondage products is aimed more at those who are new to bondage play, or people who prefer lighter forms. The elasticised wrist and ankle gauntlets are embellished with red satin bows to give them a sense of seductive femininity.

The restraint system arrives in a largish cardboard box with a white background with various tattoo style swirls over it. There are two pictures of a model bound in different positions. The box states that the product’s elastic is made from a mixture of polyester and rubber; it does not say whether or not this rubber is latex based. The cuffs are rather wide bands, at 3 inches wide each. They are topped with red polyester satin-weave bows. The material used for the cuffs is very stretchy. The wrist cuffs measure 6 inches in circumference and can fit up to 8.5 inches, and the ankle cuffs range from 8 inches to 11.5 inches. The ribbed elastic used for the cuffs is relatively rough, and they have coarse stitching inside which may chafe during wear. Each cuff has its own D-ring made from nickel free metal; these D-rings are in the shape of a heart. Although they are cute in appearance, I wondered how well they would work when linked together, as normally clips hooked to D-rings will sit centrally, but with the heart shaped rings the clips sit to one side, pulling the ring around uncontrollably. The cuffs can be linked to a four way clip system on a circular O-ring. Each clip is able to rotate freely on its D-ring. The clips are slightly loose and also have gaps where dirt could become trapped and potentially jam the spring mechanisms. The unelasticised material holding the clips to the O-ring is extremely strong, and unlikely to tear free.

During wear I was able to easily position the cuffs onto my wrists and ankles. The cuffs rested smoothly against my skin and weren’t too loose. Once I was hooked completely into the restraint system in a hog-tie position, with my ankles and wrists being restrained behind me, I found that I wasn’t able to wriggle out of the cuffs. However I was able to easily unclip them. When being restrained by the system with my hands in front of my body it was even easier to unclip them. While using them during intercourse, or just generally moving around enthusiastically, the cuffs would pull away from my skin and rub uncomfortably. The coarse inner stitching aggravated my skin even when the cuffs remained stationary. The Hog-Tie did keep me restrained unless I purposefully went for the clips. I’ve heard some suspicious stitch-tearing noises during wear, but so far the cuffs haven’t fallen apart. Hog-ties are excellent for either deep penetration, due to how they position your body, or perfect for restraining a submissive during impact play, such as spanking, as you are able to access the bottom freely and the restraints visually emphasise the buttocks.

You can use the linking system for just hooking either the ankle cuffs, or wrist cuffs together. This works rather well, as each pair of clips sits nicely in the curves of the heart shaped rings. There are also other combinations you can come up with when linking the cuffs together; you don’t have to go with the traditional cross-linking hog-tie method every time.

To clean the cuff system, just handwash it the same way as clothing. Allow the product to dry completely before putting it away. Please note that the elastic will wear eventually, through washes and use.

Overall, the Tantric Binding Love Hog-Tie system is an ok restraint system, but unfortunately it rubs a little too much for me to fully enjoy using it. The bows and heart-rings do add a nice touch to the product; however the heart shaped rings aren’t really practical for a four-way crossover restraint system, as they move about awkwardly. It’s still a functional bondage device though, even if it isn’t the best.

Toy with me Tuesday

Little Rooster

The Little Rooster by Gallus et Mulier is a rechargeable vibrator worn externally throughout the night, which wakes you up with its softly buzzing alarm features. Yes, the vibrating alarm clock is born, complete with its own digital time display – especially handy if you’re keeping to a strict schedule. I was curious to see how comfortable the Little Rooster would be during wear, and if I would still be able to comfortably slip into a comatose state, undisturbed until its gentle vibrations attempt to rise me from my slumber. Will this alarm clock make me look forward to its automatic snooze, or will it be chucked across the room in a tired fit of fury?

The toy arrives in a solid white cardboard box with the company’s name printed on top of it. The packaging looks very modern and totally unlike most sex toy boxes; no casual observer should have any suspicions. Upon opening the box you are welcomed by a famous Latin quote, printed on luxury parchment paper. The quote is as follows, “Post coitum omne animal triste est sive gallus et mulier – Claudius Galen (AD 129 – 217)”, and translates as “Every animal is sad after sex, except the human female and the rooster.”  Underneath this you will find an instruction leaflet, explaining how to set up your new morning companion, and the toy itself, resting in a velvet-lined foam insert.

The toy is made from a rigid glossy plastic and is available in various colours. The one I received is white and appears more like a medical implement, such as a digital thermometer, than a pleasure object. The face of the clock is a 5 sided polygon, with a thin angled leg protruding out of the top of it. This face is approximately 3 inches by 2 inches, and is meant to rest on the pubic mound whilst you sleep. Its underside is flat, smooth, and rigid. The toy’s interface consists of two push buttons, a sliding control, and a digital clock display. Below the sliding control you will find the charging port, which is completely exposed – I would’ve preferred it to have some form of cover, to prevent grime and sweat getting into it. To the right of the charging port is a reset button, accessible only by using a thin pin or needle. Above the clock face there is a thin rod jutting outwards at about a 45 degree angle. This contains the vibrator’s motor, and is supposed to sit over the clitoris as you sleep. It is 2.5 inches in length, similar in size to a little finger. It’s rectangular in shape and inflexible. A slight gap runs round the entirety of the product, inviting dirt. The toy is rechargeable via USB, and comes provided with its own charging cable. When wearing the Little Rooster you need to be wearing underpants or similar to keep the toy in position throughout the night; there is no other way to attach the toy to your body.

The alarm clock is operated via the three control buttons. To set the alarm and time, make sure the sliding control is positioned to the far left, and then press the left hand button. Whilst programming each feature, the setting you are adjusting at the time will flash on the LCD screen. An alarm symbol will appear at the top of the display, indicating that you are setting the alarm. Pressing the right hand button cycles the minutes, then press the left hand button to move onto selecting the hour. Clicking the left hand button once again moves onto setting the current time, starting with minutes. This follows the same process as setting the alarm.
After setting the time and once again hitting the left hand button, you are able to set the toy’s vibration strength. This ranges from 1-30. There are three vibration modes to set, displayed as LO, HI, and Sn. When the alarm is triggered the Little Rooster will start off at the lowest vibration setting you select, and will then gradually move onto the highest vibration setting you desire, aiming to wake you up slowly. The third vibration setting is the snooze vibration intensity. Once the intensities are set, you can select how long you want the vibrations to run for. This can be from 1-9 minutes. The last setting allows you to choose between 24h or AM/PM display. Once all this is done, you can check the alarm time by pressing and holding the right hand button.

To set the alarm as active, slide the middle switch to the centre. When the alarm goes off, the toy will beep immediately after the vibrations. The snooze can be activated by pressing the right hand button when the beeping starts. You are unable to disable this beeping noise.

To activate the vibrations slide the switch to the far right. The instruction booklet states this is ‘play mode’ but for me the square tip isn’t really suited to pinpoint clitoral stimulation. The booklet also advises against inserting the toy’s ‘leg’ and applying too much pressure or twisting the neck.

When wearing the toy, I first positioned the vibrating stem between my labia and onto my clitoris, before resting the flat polygonal face onto my pubic mound. I then pulled up a pair of briefs – one of my more flexible and looser pairs. The toy can also be held into place by more skimpy underwear such as thongs. The toy managed to rest in position well. Although it wasn’t particularly uncomfortable, I would’ve preferred the underside to have either been coated in a softer material, or contoured more to rest over the hilliness of my pubic mound.

At first I found that the toy took time to adjust to while trying to sleep, but eventually I managed to nod off. The toy stayed in position throughout the night, and for the majority of the time the Little Rooster roosted comfortably. The buttons are disabled when the alarm is set to active, and the sliding switch stayed put all night, so there should be no worry about your alarm not going off in the morning. I did experience some discomfort when resting face down, mostly when my pubic mound was swollen due to natural monthly hormonal changes. You may wish to avoid using the Little Rooster a few days before your menstrual cycle, or when experiencing discomfort around your nether regions.

Sometimes, when waking during the night to use the bathroom, I would forget to slot the toy back into position afterwards. But when managing to sleep through a whole night, I found the vibrations of the toy woke me up comfortably and feeling relaxed. The vibrations of the toy are moderate and aren’t strong enough to lead me to climax, but they are strong enough to wake me in an arousing manner and get me ready instantly for some morning action. The Little Rooster isn’t really aiming to be a powerful vibrator. I’m certain some women will find it powerful enough to entice a climax, but I feel that not only would the strength need to go up a few extra notches, but also that the shape of the stem would need altering, to better cup the clitoris.

Occasionally I found that the Little Rooster would dig in while sitting upright at certain angles. The clock face sometimes pushed away from my body too. I feel that the face needs to be slightly smaller, as in some positions it overhangs each side of my pubic mound. I also found that the Little Rooster would cause some underwear to become misshapen permanently – so make sure you don’t wear your favourite briefs or thong.

When cleaning the Little Rooster I’d advise using a damp cloth and antibacterial spray, as it isn’t waterproof. The toy will trap dirt and sweat in its gaps and around the controls, so pay these some extra attention when cleaning the product. Some dirt may become trapped inside the charging port – make sure this is clear before pushing the charging pin inside, as you don’t want to damage the toy.

The toy is charged via USB and has a battery bar indicator on the digital screen. The toy has a decent battery life. I’ve only had to recharge it a few times over a month.

Overall, I like the concept behind the Little Rooster, but I think it needs a little work on its shape and hygiene. There are just too many areas which can trap dirt, which is worrying considering how sweaty you can become during a night’s sleep. Also I would like the tip to be more functional as a toy, so that you are able to immediately use it for pleasurable clitoral stimulation after it has helped raise your arousal in the morning. I’m quite surprised how I was able to sleep comfortably with it, for the most part. Yes, it needs improvements, but I’m certain that these will happen over time. For now it’s an alright little chick, that hopefully will grow into a strutting, crowing rooster, after a bit more development.

Thank you to  Gallus et Mulier for providing me with this product for my review. You can find out more about the Little Rooster here.

Body Wand Original

The Body Wand Original is a mains-powered dial-controlled wand-style personal massager, sleeker and less bulky compared to its best known predecessor, the Hitachi Magic Wand. The Body Wand comes with either a UK or USA plug attached, depending on where you purchase it. The Body Wand’s head is covered with a smooth firm vinyl, rather than a plushy textured head. I’d expect this to really let the Body Wand’s power show through, emitting strong vibrations throughout its head; a plushy coated wand tends to dampen vibrations. I was interested to see whether or not my hypothesis in regards to better transmission of vibrations was correct.

The Body Wand Original arrives in a fresh looking white and blue box, with various product images printed onto it. The packaging appears incredibly innocuous, meaning that you could easily get away with passing it off as a general body massager. On the back of the box you will find a labelled diagram stating key features. The box states the head of the toy is coated in a high quality soft-touch material, but in reality it feels fairly firm. The toy has a one year warranty. The wand rests inside a plastic tray. There are no instructions with the product – with past massagers I’ve received, they have always came with instructions, often covering where and how to use a wand massager and warning of the extreme vibrations the toy produces. Ok, these things may be obvious to some, but I’m still a little surprised that the Body Wand Original doesn’t come with any additional information, other than what’s on the box.

The product is relatively large, but considering its size it feels lightweight and well balanced. The majority of the toys weight is focused towards the head, meaning that you should easily be able to apply firm pressure when using the product. The toy is 13 inches in length with a 2.25 inch long vinyl coated head, and a 0.75 inch sprung plastic-coated stem. The vinyl coated head is 7.5 inches in circumference and has a smooth domed tip. Running around the edge are 5 grooved rings which offer extra stimulation during use, as well as making certain that any attachments used will stay firmly on. The vinyl head is securely attached to the toy and seems impossible to remove. The stem can be flexed to around 60 degrees to its side, and wibbled around 360 degrees. The stem doesn’t flex too easily, giving you firm control over the device. Over-flexing the stem reveals noticeable gaps between it and the head of the toy. The body of the wand is made from a glossy plastic, with a band of textured plastic around its centre. The textured plastic makes grasping the toy much easier than past wands I’ve used. There is a gap running along the body of the wand which can trap dirt. At the back of the toy there are sinkholes in the plastic where screws are recessed. There are also air vents to help prevent your wand from overheating, and burning out the motor. The power cord leads out of the base of the toy, and is approximately 75 inches long. The cord seems loosely fitted into the toy and rattles a bit during use, but I doubt it will come out.

The wand is controlled via a dial, which rotates smoothly upon its spindle. The switch works in reverse to what you’d naturally expect, scrolling away from the head of the toy – you’d normally scroll in the direction of the tip of the toy to increase power. Once the dial clicks on you can smoothly rotate the dial to fit the vibrations you desire. The toy’s vibrations start at a low rumble, still much more powerful that a standard vibrator, and can be upped to an intensely strong vibration which travels throughout the whole toy. The dial stays firmly where you leave it; on some toys the intense vibrations can cause their controls to move around uncontrollably.

When using the toy you will need to apply some water based lubrication to make the experience more enjoyable. During use I found that the vibrations travelled throughout the head of the toy much better than on other wands I’ve tried. However, like most wand vibrators I have used, the vibrations felt the strongest on the side of the head, rather than at the tip of the dome. I enjoyed being able to take full advantage of the various vibration intensities, offering a more customisable experience than using a toy with pre-set modes. Being able to speed the vibrations up by a flick of the dial as I reached climax, and then scrolling down to the lower, more rumbly intensities as I came down from my euphoric high, meant that I was able to enjoy multiple orgasms in rapid succession. Fiddling with controls often dampens the mood, but this dial is just so easy to use.

The wand’s textured grip, and its body shape, meant that I was able to control the product easily during use. Occasionally the strong buzzy vibrations can lead to clit numbing sensations, so I would use the toy whilst wearing underwear, which can soften the vibrations, and make them transmit with more of the rumble I desire as they travel through the fibres of the fabric. It is partly down to my current mood and levels of arousal. I have found that positioning the head of the toy over my vaginal orifice and resting its body over my clitoris and vulva sends light yet pleasurable vibrations throughout my vulva. Also, placing the head of the wand over an already inserted sex toy, such as a dildo or plug, works well, providing vibrations that offer titillating stimulation throughout the body of the toy and my own. After orgasm and switching the toy off, I found that my vulva would pulsate for a good few minutes, almost as if my body was transforming into an organic vibrator.

When cleaning the Body Wand, make sure you pay extra attention to cleaning around the air vents, neck, the dial, grooves on the head, and manufacturing gaps, as these can trap dirt. I’d recommend washing the Wand with a damp cloth/antibacterial wipe, and avoid submerging it under water – especially the plug socket.

The Original Body Wand is a superb step up from the entirety of my past wand massagers. Not only is its lightweight construction and adjustable dial control fantastic, but it is significantly more powerful than all my other wands. The only real change I would like to see with the Body Wand Original is for there to be fewer gaps for dirt to become trapped in. Essentially, if you are looking for a devilishly powerful wand that gushes geysers of pleasure and provides tantalizing vibrations, then the Body Wand Original is a fine choice.
