Power Up Fail - Super BoyZ Swirl Girth Ring Cal Exotics

When I saw the SuperBoyZ toy by Cal Exotics I just couldn’t help but buy it. Both I and my partner are fans of the anime and manga series know as DragonBallZ. The packaging for this toy appears to be a take on DragonBallZ, and the character seems to be Vegeta and Goku blended together. I thought that it was worth a shot at only £7.99, and at least I and my partner would get some entertainment from the packaging, even if the toy failed in the area of excitement.

The toy is packaged in an oversize cardboard box; you could probably fit around four of the toy into the box. To be fair the packaging does state ‘bigger is better’, and maybe the oversize packaging is trying to compensate for the toy. The packaging has multiple images of the Japanese style character on it, in a fighting stance. On the back you will find the phrase ‘Power You Up’, so obviously this toy is meant to increase the power level of your penis... On the box you will also find a warning that the toy should not be worn for more than 30 minutes, and that you should allow 60 minutes before using again. The toy also states that it is intended for external use only – this is just a general warning that a lot of sex toys come with, as the toy is intended to be placed over a penis or a sex toy externally, but then inserted internally into a vagina. The toy is intended to act as a stamina enhancer and a g-spot stimulator. Even though I’m against the catch phrases used on the packaging, which seem to play on people’s insecurities, both my partner and I appreciated the general Japanese cartoon style and layout. The toy is made from very squidgy plastic, and is extremely flexible. The toy is easily flipped inside out and generally stretched, while still able to maintain its original shape with little damage. It does seem to stick to some items and also attracts dust, so you may want to find a bag or similar to store it in. The product has two mould seams on the outer layer of the plastic; these are hardly noticeable when touched. The protruding rings round the product remind me slightly of the rings found on a sci-fi ray gun. They add roughly an additional 0.5cm- 1cm girth to your penis.

To wear the sleeve is fairly easy. We found that turning it inside out, and then gently flipping it over the head of the penis worked best. Once on, the girth ring felt slightly tight at first, but my partner quickly got used to it. Inserting the toy into my vagina was easier than expected and I didn’t feel any discomfort. I could feel the rings flip back and forth along my vaginal wall, but they did not stimulate my g-spot. We found that during intercourse the sleeve gradually slipped down to the base of the penis, meaning that most of the girth enhancing sensation was lost. My partner says that the ring did increase his penis sensitivity, but when inserted into my vagina, most of the sensations from the vaginal wall were blocked by the layers of plastic. We’ve only used this product a few times and it already seems to be tearing at the seam.
The toy is very easy to clean. You are able to flip the rings and the toy inside out and gently wash with your favourite cleaner.

Overall, for the price, this is an ok product. The packaging was the fun part, but we really didn’t experience much enhancement during intercourse. I feel that the toy doesn’t sit on the right part of the penis to stimulate the g-spot, and it doesn’t help that it slips during use.

Pin-Up Bullet and Balm Set

I’ve had this little set for some time now. It’s moved from bag to bag, and when not travelling it generally resides on my computer desk. What attracted me to this product was not only the outstanding pin-up tin, but also the glittery texture of the bullet itself. To me the balm seemed like an added bonus.

There are three tin designs to choose from, each with a different coloured bullet. All three designs are by the legendary pin-up artist Gil Elvgren. I feel that the three pictures from this pin-up toy collection work well together, as they all share a similar red background. The tin I picked is the one with the blonde haired girl picture and the silver bullet. The product description calls this one, ‘The dazzling Nancy with her glittery silver bullet’. The tin resembles a cigarette case or lip balm container – I have recently seen lip balm tins with similar pin-up designs. After opening the tin you will find a foam insert with space to accommodate a spare battery, a tin consisting of bombshell balm, and the bullet itself. The product uses N batteries; two are provided, one in the bullet itself, and the other resting in the case. The tin really does look inconspicuous; I did once accidently leave it round a friend’s house and was unable to collect it for some time, and as she didn’t open it up she had presumed it contained a more innocent item.  My only problem with the tin is that it can sometimes pop open when transported in a bag. The paint on the tin has started to wear slightly, though I am surprised with how scratch resistant the tin is.

The bullet looks wonderful. The texture makes it appear as if it’s been dipped into glitter, although it hasn’t, so you don’t have to worry about glitter getting everywhere, including your nether regions. The texture feels very noticeable compared to other toys. I had worried that it would feel rough and rub my skin raw but it hasn’t. The silver coating smoothes the texture and when rubbed over the skin leaves a goose bump tingle. To use the bullet you have to unscrew the cap and remove a small piece of paper that is separating the battery and connectors. Whatever you do, don’t remove the cylindrical piece of paper with the battery picture, as if this is removed it might mean your bullet won’t work. The bullet is a simple push button; push to turn on and scan through the three settings to turn off. My bullet seems to be a little temperamental as it doesn’t always want to turn on after the first push, but it isn’t persistent enough for me to feel the need to return it as faulty. The bullet has three intensity settings and each is incredibly strong. Even on the lowest setting the bullet rattles about uncontrollably when rested on a surface. The first two settings are relatively silent compared to other vibratory devices. I’ve found the third setting to have a higher pitch noise but still quieter than some toys.

The balm seems great and adds a little tingle to your body. It smells similar to fresh mint and when tasted, it tastes similar to mint oil. You don’t have to use this balm for just the clitoris, it also works well on other ergonomist zones such as the nipples, and also helps provide an interesting experience for both partners when used during oral sex. The tingly sensation seems to start off slow and becomes strong as it works its way into your skin; I’ve found that the tingle effect isn’t as strong as others, such as Durex tingle. It’s still pleasurable and feels just right when you combine it with the textures from the bullet itself. Not only does it produce a slight tingle effect, it increases the blood flow to the clitoris, increasing sensitivity.  The balm itself comes in a small tin with another pin-up picture; this tin resembles a tin of lip or temple balm. The balm doesn’t seem to leave any form of tackiness on the body and doesn’t seem to cause a rash or unpleasant irritation. I personally have trouble opening the tin. It looks as if it is meant to screw undone, but actually you have to pull the lid off. Once the balm is empty you can either buy another, or replace the circular area within the foam with something else – condoms in circular packaging seem to fit well.

Cleaning the product is simple. Even though it has a dimpled texture, dirt easily washes off its glossy coating, and to make things easier when cleaning, the toy is waterproof.

Overall, I think this is a great little set for the price. The bullet has the right combination of texture and strong vibrations to lead to a very satisfying clitoral orgasm; combine that with a dab of the balm and you are in paradise.

Phallix Lattachino Twisted Glass Wand Dildo

I’ve recently been snooping about for more glass toys and came across the Twisted Lattachino Wand by Phallix. I’m not sure whether it was the allure of the multi coloured spirals hypnotising me or the ascending ribbed glass, but I felt that I needed to own this toy. I must admit it’s the most expensive toy I’ve purchased in awhile, so I had very high hopes.

The toy arrived next day and I gently opened my parcel, I was worried because I could hear rattling. After removing the item from the parcel I was slightly shocked with the packaging used for such an expensive glass toy. The toy comes in a plastic blister pack, there is nothing securing the toy in place so it freely rattles and rolls about during transit. There is a catalogue inserted at the top of the packaging with a picture of a nude model in a semi erotic pose. Also inside the packaging is a double lined satin bag with toggle button for storing the glass toy in. I immediately opened the packaging up to inspect the toy as I was worried about whether it had experienced any damage; luckily it hadn’t. Upon inspection the toy also appeared a lot different to what I had expected, the product images are very miss leading and make the toy appear more colourful, pointy, slender, and longer. I do understand that a lot of glass toys appear differently to the product images, but to me this toy looked very different.  It’s still a beautiful product and I really appreciate the lattachino swirls within the glass. Within certain lighting the colours look similar to a reflection of the sun setting over rippled water. Another thing I’ve noticed about this toy is its lightness compared to other glass toys of similar size.

Inserting the toy is reasonably easy. The ribbed spirals towards the tip feel a little strange as they travel past my vaginal entrance, I think this is because the girth of the toy starts off particularly narrow compared to other glass toys taper tips. Once inserted the toy feels comfortable, it did not hit my g-spot as the shaft is straight rather than curved. I have experimented with the toy by using two motions; a thrusting motion and a rotating motion. When used in a thrusting manner, I found the spirals from the toy produced much greater stimulation than other spiralled glass toys I own. I believe this partly may be because the tip of the shaft doesn’t have any form of bulbous head and also its shaft isn’t curved. Meaning that the textured stimulation can be appreciated by itself without the added stimulation to the g-spot, I find that when my g-spot is stimulated that all other surrounding textures within the vagina can go unnoticed. When the toy was used in a twisting motion I was surprised with how comfortable and enjoyable the sensations felt. Again I think this is partly due to how the shaft is straight rather than curved. When twisting I enjoyed how the ribbing near the handle would occasionally twist outside my vaginal entrance letting the glass cool slightly before twisting back inside. The toy is mesmerizing to watch when twirled into the body; it appears as if it’s travelling deeper inside the vagina almost like a never ending chamber.  The handle itself was very comfortable to use and did not impede on moving the toy.

Overall, even though I was a little perplexed by the appearance of this toy and its packaging, I still merit the sensations produced by the twisting spirals on the straight expanding shaft.   I also feel that the price is a little high, especially as there are so many beautiful glass toys being produced at a more affordable rate.

Icicles No. 21 Flower Patterned Glass Dildo

I had wanted to try Icicles No. 21 for some time, not only because of its aesthetics appeared beautiful, but also because the raised texture of the flower and leaves made me contemplate the possible sensations that could be produced around the vaginal entrance. As well as looking forward to the textures produced by the floral design, I had high expectations that this toy would be excellent for g-spot stimulation due to its bulbous tip, ‘S’ like curve, and the firmness of the glass.

The toy comes presented within a gift box with multiple images of the product printed on. The front of the box opens up to reveal the actual toy, unfortunately there is a plastic window blocking your access to the toy. To remove the toy you have to open the box at either the top or the bottom and push the foam insert out. There is no storage bag for this toy so you may wish to keep the display box, the toys flared base is very solid and flat making it possible to keep the toy out on display.

The toy really is lovely especially when light passes through the tapered tip. The glass is smooth to touch apart from where the paint has been applied on the floral pattern, the paint for some reason causes very mild friction when a finger is rubbed over. The paintwork is still gorgeous but slightly different to the one pictured, I think this is because each toy is handmade. I like how the pattern appears when you look through the opposite side of the glass, the colours appear as if they are spiralling upwards inside the toy.  The girth at the tip is 4.6 inches in circumference, which is rather large compared to some toys. However due to the gently tapered tip it doesn’t cause much of a problem during insertion. This Toy is one of the longest glass toys I own and is 8.5 inches in length; I was worried that it might topple over due to its length but the base sits solidly on a table. The main shaft is approximately 3.5 inches circumference; the textured area varies slightly at different points but is no bigger than approximately 3.75 inches. The flared base is 6 inches circumference and is fairly comfortable to grip. As the length of this toy if so long you are unlikely to insert the complete girth. This also means you are able to form a comfortable grip around the textured based, which can be convenient when the toy becomes slippery.

Inserting the toy is quite easy; due to the nature of glass you need little or no lubricant. The bulbous tip curves upwards and hits the g-spot perfectly. I found that due to the size of the tapered tip it was more likely to hit my g-spot. The curved shaft made sure I was able to rhythmically stimulate towards a strong g-spot orgasm when used in a thrusting motion. Sadly because the textures of the floral pattern are at the lower end of the shaft, I felt very little stimulation from them. The flower was more likely to enter my vagina, but its texture is minimal compared to the leaves and dots. If you are able to insert more of the toy; I’m sure you would be able to experience more satisfaction from the floral textured pattern.

I’ve found that when this toy is used during cold temperature play it can become a bit tricky to insert. I think that this is because the tip isn’t as pointed as some other glass toys.

Cleaning the toy is easy; the ridges don’t seem to catch dirt like on other textured toys. Just remember to be careful when washing the toy as it can become difficult to handle when wet. Pipedreams state that this toy can be put through the dishwasher for cleaning.

Overall, I’m a little disappointed that I was unable to appreciate the textures from the lower shaft. The curve and bulbous tip are still great for g-spot stimulation. It’s such a beautiful toy and I love how it is able to sit comfortably on my bedside table; ready for when I desire to use it next.

Doc Johnson Sasha Grey Swell Glass Dildo

When I first learnt that Doc Johnson and Sasha Grey had produced a new range of glass toys; I was curious to see whether or not they had managed to pull it off. In the past my experiences from doc Johnson have been hit and miss, as their toys tend to be at the lower quality end of the market. I’m pleased to say that this toy has exceeded my expectations and I am impressed that Doc Johnson has managed to pull off a luxuriously modern looking glass toy.

The toy comes in a black cardboard box. On the front of the box is a glossy picture of the toy with ‘Sasha Grey’ printed in the middle of it. On each side of the box you will find a picture of Sasha herself, these have been tastefully taken in black and white. On the back there is a short description of the new Doc Johnson glass range “Black Glass... sensual, smooth, slightly mysterious, darkly erotic. Unique in appearance... unforgettable in experience... in other words, the embodiment of Sasha herself...” I thought this sounded catchier than some descriptions on similar toys. To remove the toy from the box I found that it was easier to open it at the bottom and the top, and push the foam insert out. The glass toy safely rests within the foam cut out; there is no storage bag with this product so you may wish to keep the insert. There was a few strands of glue on the toy from the packaging, these were easily removed and didn’t mark the glass.

To really appreciate the aesthetics of this toy you need to remove it from the foam case and inspected it in a well lit room. As you stare into the toy you can understand how smooth and polished the glass is as each wave reflects you and your surroundings. The reflections made within the glass remind me of the effects produced from a funhouse mirror or a kaleidoscope.   The glass is jet black; I feel that the product images made it appear charcoal in colouration due to how the light reflects in the pictures. This toy truly is chic in shape and colour. The product states that the size of each wave increases, this isn’t completely accurate. When each wave’s circumference was measured I found that the first main wave is actually marginally smaller than the tip. The toy measurements are: 4.1” for the tip, 4” for the first wave, 4.5” for the second wave, and 5.2” for the rounded handle/ base. Each pinnacle is about 2 inches apart. Even though the tip of the toy is slightly larger than the first was it does not impede inserting the toy.  The rounded base fits perfectly into the palm of your hand, and is still easy to grip even when slippery.

Inserting the toy is easy and doesn’t need much additional lubrication if any. I have only used this toy for vaginal stimulation, but it would also be perfect for anal stimulation due to the bulbous handle and the smooth escalating waves.   The tip gently pops past the vaginal entrance and is followed by the sensations of the waves rubbing against the front of the vaginal wall. The tip of the toy flowed over my g-spot during insertion, leaving the first wave to softly massage my g-spot while thrusting.  I found that even though the sensations produced by the gentle waves were pleasurable on my g-spot; they weren’t enough for me to reach orgasm quickly. I decided to try to insert the handle end in hope it would produce a stronger orgasm. Although the girth at the handle end is wider than some toys, I still found insertion easy with a small amount of lubricant. The handle worked better at hitting the g-spot but it was harder to control the motions needed to reach a strong orgasm.

I’ve also found that this toy is perfect for general massage over the back, especially during temperature play. Each wave rolls smoothly over the body gently relaxing your partner’s muscles.

The toy is very easy to clean as there are no ridges or holes for dirt to get trapped. It’s also very easy to sterilise this toy because it is made from glass; meaning that you can use it for anal or vaginal play after cleaning. Remember to clean the toy after anal play if you intent to use it for vaginal play and likewise if you with to switch from vaginal to anal.

Overall, even though this toy didn’t give me a strong g-spot orgasm I still really enjoy the sensations produced from the waves. I really like the stylishness of this toy and how the black sheen reflects light. I feel it will be used often but mainly as a warm-up toy during foreplay, and I’m sure it’ll last a lifetime.

Blowing Raspberries- Blue Raspberry Flavoured Sliquid Swirl

I recently purchased the blue raspberry flavoured lubricant from the Sliquid Swirl range. When purchasing this I did wonder whether the lubricant was actual blue raspberry flavour or a mixture of blueberries and raspberries; it doesn’t seem to say within the product description. When the product arrived I was so excited to try this flavour I forgot to read the ingredients and decided to perform a taste test. Straight away I could distinguish the taste of blueberries with a hint of fresh raspberries; this had answered my question and once the ingredients were checked it confirmed that this lubricant is a mixture of blueberry and raspberry flavours. This lubricant already seemed great, in the past a simple taste test of a lube could end with it being thrown into the bin.

I later decided to introduce the lubricant to my partner. When travelling to my partners the lubricant didn’t leak even though the protective foil seal had been removed. I felt that it was only fair to let my partner try the lubricant before using it during oral stimulation, everyone’s tastes buds are different and even though I thought the lubricant tasted great it didn’t mean he would enjoy it. Lucky my partner enjoyed the flavour of the lubricant; he reminisced about the blue panda pop drink. To me the lubricant tastes similar to blueberry Ribena. It has a more natural fruit flavour than other lubricants; the blueberry taste left a slight dryness on my palette similar to when one eats a punnet of blueberries.

During oral sex both I and my partner had different experiences. When my partner applied the lubricant to my genitals he found it blended well with my natural moistures. He also found that only a small amount was needed and that only after a good 20mintues did the fruitiness dissipated leaving him with a satisfyingly soft sweet taste. When applied to my partner during fellatio I found that I needed to use more than he had used on my body. This might be because the penis doesn’t really have the same natural moistures my body has to blend with the lubricant. I was still able to enjoy the flavour of the lubricant without it being too overpowering and taking away the flavours of my partners flesh.

Even though the lubricant is thinner in consistency than other lubricants it is the right slipperiness for oral sex. If you prefer your lubricants to be of thicker consistency Sliquid swirl not only blends perfectly into natural moistures, but other lubricants too.  The lubricant is absorbed into the skin gently and didn’t leave any form of tackiness. Also unlike some other lubricants Swirl didn’t leave a rash or upset my ph balance. Swirl left only a slight mark on fabrics and was easy to clean off.

Scent wise this lubricant smells perfect. It isn’t too over powering like others and it isn’t the same as some flavoured lubricants that are ‘all scent and no taste’.  The blue raspberry flavour smells fresh and delicious just enough for you to appreciate it before your lips touch your partner.

Not only am I delighted about my experiences with the blue raspberry flavoured Sliquid Swirl, I was also pleased to find a diabetic , skin safe, and vegetarian friendly lubricant. I also was pleased that all this information was easily available without me having to do long winded searches or contacting customer services. Sliquid provided all the information I needed before hand, this product is vegan friendly, sugar free, and paraben free. I applaud Sliquid for managing to make this ultra friendly lubricant. The aspartame content is also very small compared to other lubricants that over compensate with sweetener; furthermore it is only slightly noticeable within the taste.

Overall, this lubricant is perfect. Don’t be put off by the price it will last a lot longer than those sugary tacky alternatives. Blue raspberry Swirl is truly a scrumptious tasting lubricant.

The Berry Basket- Sliquid Berry Flavoured Lubes

I recently purchased three of the Sliquid Swirl flavouredlubricants: Strawberry & Pomegranate, Blue Raspberry, and Cherry Vanilla. In the past I have experienced problems with other flavoured lubricants for the following reasons:

  •  With my partner being diabetic sometimes we would have to avoid certain lubricants due to the glycerine contents.
  • I have highly sensitive skin and found some favoured lubricants to cause rashes.
  • Being a strict vegetarian I had to avoid some lubricants, particularly tropical flavours where the fruit flavouring had been filtered through fish gelatine or similar.

Sliquid had already won me over before the lubricants arrived at my door. This is because they clearly answered all my problems without me having to perform in-depth searches beforehand. The Sliquid swirl range is all vegan friendly, glycerine free, and is paraben free.  These lubricants seemed perfect, and I was over the moon that both my partner and I could finally try a flavoured lubricant without worrying.

The three Sliquid Swirl lubricants I purchased all have a similar consistency. They are at the thinner end of lubricant scale, and do feel rather slippery when applied to skin. Even though they are thinner than some lubricants they still seem to stay put once applied, and are easily blended with natural moister. If you want to make these lubricants thicker you can easily mix them with other lubricants. I also found that even though the aspartame content is minimal, it is still ever so slightly noticeable in these lubricants. It isn’t as bad as a sugary syrup taste left by some, or as bad as others lubes that over compensate with going overboard with sweetener to make up the lack of sugar. Also all the lubricants were gently absorbed into the skin, without leaving any tackiness.

All the bottles are sealed with a piece of foil coated plastic; this not only keeps the lubricant fresh but reassures you that your product hasn’t been tampered with.  I did experience a little trouble when removing the protective seal on each bottle.

Both my partner and I have tried each lubricant out orally. When the lubricants were applied to my genitals, my partner found that the flavours did not take away my natural taste. He also found that only a small amount was needed and that it easily maintained the flavouring from the lubricant. He did find that over long periods of time the lubricant flavour would fade slight and leave a soft sweet taste within his mouth. When I applied the lubricants to my partner I found that more was needed during fellatio, this might be because the penis doesn’t really have natural lubricant to blend with the lube. I did find the taste pleasant and was still able to distinguish the flavours of my partners flesh between the Swirl lubricants.

The scents of the lubricants are all satisfying. Not too overpowering; strong enough for you to appreciate the flavour before you make contact with your lips.

The Cherry Vanilla flavour from our experience tastes better than other cherry lubricants we have tried. The Cherry isn’t sweetly over powering and has a slight bitterness; the bitterness is softly taken away by the vanilla. When the flavour starts to fade you are left with more of the vanilla flavour in your mouth, the cherry mostly dissipates. To me the combination of the cherry and vanilla oddly reminds me of amaretto, I have no idea why because this lubricant doesn’t seem to contain almonds.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamapsis (Guar Conditioners), Cherry & Vanilla Flavouring, Aspartame, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

Strawberry & pomegranate flavour, we were both excited to try this flavour as pomegranate is one of our favourite fruits.  This lubricant mostly tastes of strawberries; there is only a slight watery pomegranate flavour. The strawberry flavouring tastes similar to strawberries that have been freshly picked at the right time of the year. Similar to those big fat strawberries you bite into and find a softly sweet centre. Even though the pomegranate flavour isn’t as powerful as we would have hoped we still liked this lubricant.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamapsis (Guar Conditioners), Strawberry & Pomegranate Flavouring, Aspartame, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

The Blue Raspberry flavour reminds me of blueberries with a hint of raspberry juiciness. This one reminds me of the blue Panda Pop, and blueberry flavoured Ribena. There is a slight natural fruit flavour to it. This one has to be our favourite as it doesn’t have the same overpowering element the other two seemed to have.
Ingredients: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from cotton), Cyamapsis (Guar Conditioners), Blueberry & Raspberry Flavouring, Aspartame, Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

Overall, these lubricants are great especially when compared to other flavoured lubes on the market. They are just the right consistency, flavour, and fragrance. I know I defiantly will be purchasing another of the blue raspberry bottles in the future, though I don’t expect this to be soon as these bottles do appear to last ages. Even though there are larger and cheaper bottles of flavoured lubricant available, I feel that these bottles of Sliquid will last longer as you need to use less. They are really worth the price, and although there are cheaper alternatives I feel you can’t go wrong with Sliquid.
