Guest Review at Kinky World: The Amazing Hot Heart Massager

Every month I write a guest review for Kinky-World. This is a sex toy review blog by Mistress Kay. Kinky-World posts a review most days, and often has information on the latest sex toys available.

This month I wrote a review for The Amazing Hot Heart Massager, which is a liquid gel pack that heats up by a chemical reaction.

Here’s a segment from my review:

“Using the heart is easy; simply flex the metal disc and it instantly starts heating. The liquid will start to form crystals, going from a mushy snow-like texture, which as it cools it will start to feel similar to compacted snow.”

Metal Worx Luv Plug

The Pipedream Metal Worx Luv Plug is an anal toy designed for prostate stimulation. The new Metal Worx toys from Pipedream are an affordable luxury compared to other metal toys. Va Va Voom were kind enough to send me the Metal Worx Luv Plug to review. As a woman I do not have a prostate, but this doesn’t mean I still can’t enjoy using the Luv Plug, whether I use it as a standard butt plug, or even inserted into the vagina for G-spot stimulation.  In the past I’ve had very little luck with the standard cone-shape butt plugs, and have found that they would often fall out. I’ve had better luck with slightly curved plugs, similar to the Luv Plug, so I was hopeful that this beautiful plug wouldn’t let me down.

The Luv Plug arrives in a strong cosmetic style box, with charcoal coloured faux leather. The case has a sturdy metal latch to keep it closed, but unfortunately the latch isn’t lockable. On the box you will find two stickers, featuring the toy and product information, and both stickers are easily removed, leaving the brand name and logo printed on the lid. The product information states that the toy is hand-polished, nonporous, ergonomically weighted, eco-friendly, and nickel-free. You will find the plug resting inside the velveteen lined box, within a removable foam padding. To really appreciate the Luv Plug you need to remove it from the packaging, as the protective foam covers up the diamante crystal found on its handle.

Once the Luv Plug is removed from its packaging you can immediately tell that the toy is exceptional quality, from how the smoothly polished steel shines on its curved body, to how the weight of the toy feels with two fingers hooked round its handle. Fixed into the base of the handle you will find a large diamante crystal, which shimmers beautifully and adds an extra touch of class. The plug has 3.5 inches of insertable length, being 4.5 inches in total length including the handle. The handle is big enough to accommodate up to three fingers when using the toy, but I found hooking two fingers through was comfortable, and offered enough control. I only have one problem with the toy - the inside of the handle feels a bit rough, as it hasn’t been smoothed and polished as well as the rest of the toy. At the tip of the toy there is a tapered bulbous head of about 3.75 inches in circumference; this offers around 1 inch of surface area aimed at stimulating the P-spot or G-spot. After the head of the toy it gently thins and then expands in girth slightly, while forming a curved stem. The plug isn’t overly large, but due to its weight when compared to similarly proportioned anal toys made from other materials, and also its rigidity, I wouldn’t recommend this to an anal novice. I feel it would be well suited for most intermediate to advanced anal toy users.

When using the toy as an anal plug I found that very little lubrication was needed. The steel did feel very cold compared to some anal toys I’ve used, so you may wish to warm it in water before insertion. The steel does warm faster than most metal and glass toys, so be careful not to burn yourself. Personally, when using the toy anally, I preferred the cold sensations of the steel gradually warming to my own body temperature. During insertion I experienced slight discomfort when the bulbous head entered the anus, but found that once the rest of the shaft was inserted, the toy felt very comfortable and natural to wear. The weight of the steel added to the sensations while wearing the plug, and seemed to make it move comfortably with the rest of my body, without falling out. I had worried that the weight of the toy would make it difficult to wear, but this plug stays in place when inserted, even during vaginal intercourse and orgasm. I’ve found a lot of butt plugs fall out during vaginal intercourse or orgasm, which can be very frustrating. When wearing this plug during vaginal sex, it helped me to have a more intense orgasm. I also liked how the handle isn’t easily noticeable when wearing the plug under clothing, and how comfortable it felt between my buttocks.

Due to the hygienic nature of steel sex toys, I was also able to experiment using this toy for G-spot stimulation after sterilizing it. I found that the toy did curve towards my G-spot and stimulate it, but unfortunately I would’ve benefitted from it being slightly longer, for more accurate and constant stimulation.

Cleaning the toy is easy; simply wash it under warm water with your standard antibacterial cleaner. You can even boil or sterilize the toy. In the unlikely event that the crystal gets dirty, you may want a cleaning wipe to clean around its setting. Steel does easily watermark, so it is best to dry the toy immediately after washing in order to prevent this.

Overall, even though I’m unable to comment on how effective this toy would be as a prostate massager, I think it is an excellent plug. I found it stimulated my G-spot somewhat, meaning that it will probably work well stimulating the male P-spot. The plug is very comfortable to wear, and I’m pleased that it stays in place, unlike a lot of other plugs. Not only is it very good as an anal toy, it is also a good vaginal G-spot toy, which is easy to clean. As the size isn’t overly challenging, it will be my butt plug of choice when I’m up for a little anal stimulation during intercourse, or solo masturbation. I doubt it’ll be leaving my bedside table.

Death by Orgasm: The Vampire Bride

The ‘Death by Orgasm’ range of bullets features some of the best, inexpensive bullet vibrators I’ve come across. Not only are they all rather affordable, but they arrive in a gothic themed tin - how many bullets do you find that come in reusable packaging while still being affordable? I was excited to hear there were two new additions to this sex toy brand, added especially for Halloween, but don’t worry, as you should be able to find them online for sale even out of season.

The Vampire Bride is one of the new additions, being twice the size of a standard bullet vibrator and twice as deadly. The bullet arrives in a coffin shaped tin; on the front there is a picture of an eerie graveyard, shrouded in fog, with a full moon waxing in the sky, and a single raven perched upon a tombstone. You will also find the brand and product names, with an image of a silhouetted woman wearing bat wings. I’m not overly fond of the fancy dress woman, as to me it doesn’t really fit with the packaging. It’s a little too clichéd smutty sex toy, even in silhouette. On the back you will find another sticker with a small amount of product information, stating that it is waterproof and includes two N batteries – ‘Holy Waterproof’ and ‘Bat-teries included’. I have tried removing the stickers from the tin but haven’t had much luck. I’ve found this to be a problem with all the Death by Orgasm packaging, which is a shame, as I would like to be able to leave them lying around more casually. When opening the coffin you will find the bullet resting in a velveteen plastic insert. Unlike some other Death by Orgasm toys, there are no additional batteries resting peacefully alongside the item. When you remove the bullet from the rest, you will notice the cross-like indent in the velvet, which I feel is a quirky touch.

The bullet is double the size of a standard bullet, being 4 inches in length. It’s made from smooth plastic, and is safe with water-based and silicone lubricants. It causes mild drag when rubbed against dry skin. The plastic feels a little cheap to me, but I doubt it’ll easily warp or damage. At the tip of the toy you will find an indent, presumably from the moulding process, which I wish wasn’t there, as it can ruin the gliding sensation of The Bride when in use, though I doubt many will find this a problem. You will find a push-button control in the battery cap. To use the toy, you will need to unscrew the battery cap first, and remove a small piece of paper blocking the batteries from the connectors. Be careful not to lose the waterproof seal or remove the clear plastic cylinder, as this may prevent your toy from working. The bullet has 10 vibration settings, the first three being continuous vibrations, and the following seven being a mixture of pulsation and escalation modes. To turn the toy off you can simply hold down the push-button for a few seconds, rather than having to scan through to the end. Unfortunately my two favourite settings on this vibrator are the ninth and tenth settings. The ninth setting consists of 8 quick pulsations with short pauses, and then an elongated vibration, before cycling through again. The tenth setting is the same but sped up a bit. These two settings also remind me of the incidental music from classic horrors, such as in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho’s infamous shower scene.

When using the bullet I found it best to use a small amount of additional lubrication, due to the manufacturing indent at the tip. The vibrations are rather strong compared to standard sized bullet vibrators, and are focussed mostly at the tip. You can still feel them at the base of the toy, but they don’t feel as numbing when gripping, unlike some vibrators where the vibrations are felt through my fingertips more than my clitoris. After selecting the vibration mode I preferred, being the ninth and tenth, the toy didn’t take long to bring me to orgasm. I also liked how the length of the bullet and strength of the vibrations worked well during shallow insertion, and stimulated the vaginal entrance. Due to the length of this bullet, I feel it’ll be a nice addition for anyone who’s new to insertable sex toys, or just likes toys with a small girth. The vibrations are relatively strong, and felt a lot stronger than the smaller bullets in the Death by Orgasm range, but it is also correspondingly noisier.

Cleaning the Bride is simple, thanks to its smooth exterior and being Holy-Waterproof. Simply use your standard antibacterial wash and warm water.

Overall, I like The Vampire Bride; it’s a nice addition to the Death by Orgasm range. It’s a strong bullet that’s well built, while still being affordable. I like the coffin tin, and even though it may not be to some people’s taste, it is handy as you can remove the velvet insert, leaving additional room for other items such as condoms and lube. This bullet would be a great addition for anyone looking for a step-up in power, or those wishing to experiment with a smaller toy during vaginal insertion or couple play.

Couture Collection Seduction

This month I received the Couture Collection Seduction hands-free stimulating massager from Cal Exotics. This massager reminds me of sex toys similar to the iRide, which are designed to be used in a rocking motion. The Seduction is designed to stimulate the G-spot when being used in a rocking motion; it has a simple to use power pack with controls on a short cord, making the toy easy to ride.

The Couture Collection Seduction arrives in a frosted plastic box; you are able to see the product resting in a plastic insert. On the back of the box there is an instructional diagram stating that the toy is a skin safe, waterproof silicone vibrator, with LED light-up controls. The toy is smaller than I expected, being 4 inches in length with only 3 inches of insertable shaft. This shouldn’t matter as the G-spot is located within the first few inches of the vaginal canal. Also, due to the flared base and shortness of the shaft, this toy may work well anally. The Seduction is made from lilac coloured silicone which is smooth to the touch; it produces moderate drag when rubbed against dry skin, so you may need additional lubrication when using the toy. The top of the toy slopes, forming a flat head meant for G-spot stimulation. The base of the toy is flared and curved meaning that it can rock easily. On the topside of the base there are two nubs which can produce additional stimulation when in use. Leading out through the bottom of the base is a white cord measuring 20 inches in length, which I feel is a little on the short side. It leads out of the centre of the base, so it can make the rocking motions more jerky feeling, rather than smooth. At the end of the cord there is a power pack which takes 2 AAA batteries. On the power pack there is a violet motif, surrounding the two control buttons; one On/Off button and one mode button. There are seven vibration modes. The first three are single speed modes and relatively powerful, and the following four are various pulsation and escalation functions. When using the toy the buttons will illuminate red. Personally I would’ve preferred a different LED colour for the controls; the red clashes somewhat with the lilac colouration and girly feel of the product.

When using the toy, I found that foreplay and a small amount of additional lubricant were needed prior to insertion, due to the shape of the flattened tip. Once inserted, I found that the toy wasn’t the right shape and size to stimulate my G-spot. I feel that if it was slightly more curved, and with a little extra shaft, it would’ve worked as a G-spot toy. Also, once inserted, I found the cord to be a little too short, making it uncomfortable when positioning my body, as I was worried about accidentally ripping the cord. Once inserted and sitting on a flat surface I tried using the toy in a rocking motion. I found the flared base was too large to do this comfortably as it dug into my pelvic girdle and tendons. For me, when I use a hands free toy, I want to be able to comfortably lose control and enjoy the experience, similar to when I have intercourse. I feel that maybe if I had a little more padding on my pelvic area, then this toy might’ve been more comfortable for me to use. When using the toy with the vibrations on I could easily feel them throughout the shaft and flared base. The vibrations stimulated my vaginal entrance and vulva, and felt fairly strong and quiet.

I decided to try out the Seduction as an anal toy, to see if it would work better for me than when used vaginally. Unfortunately I found the tip too uncomfortable for anal insertion, even with additional lubricant.

Cleaning the toy is simple due to it being made from silicone and being waterproof – just use your standard antibacterial cleaner and water. I have submerged both the toy and power pack underwater successfully, meaning that even if the power pack becomes dirty it can be easily cleaned.

Overall, I like the feminine aesthetics of the toy, and the idea of it being hands-free with moderately strong vibrations, but unfortunately it just didn’t work for me. I feel that if the shaft was just slightly longer, and a little more curved, then it would’ve worked well stimulating my G-spot. The toy might still work when stimulating other people’s G-spot, due to everyone’s anatomy being subtly different. I also feel that the flared base needed to be a slightly different shape or softer material to make it comfortable to use, as I have an athletic build. A slightly longer power cord would’ve been nice too. Even though this toy didn’t really work for me, I feel that it might be a good toy for some people.

You can purchase this toy from California Exotics.
